You must have missed the story about the girl in Pta who went missing, and who's (alleged) killer has just appeared in court.

You said it went unreported: here is a story of a terrible crime and a lot of work that went into catching the person who appears to have been responsible. I'm not saying that it is the only one, just the first that came to mind.

I'm not a member of the ANC so you would have to teach me their methods first.

Color does not matter in 1st world countries, except for the people who prefer to blame white people rather than to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. They are not enslaved by white people which would suit them best if it were so, because they are an unproductive lazy excuses for humans, so they continue to act like slaves in ignorance. stfu about color, you and people who think like you do are the only people keeping racism alive.

There are cases like the one in PTA every other week, you think that all of them are reported because our government is so efficient it can ensure all little girls are accounted for by number?

Let's see, I have access to quality health care (though I have pay a fair bit each month for it), reasonable security (once again I invested heavily in that), and I have access to most, if not all of amenities and services that people in 1st world countries have. I live a relatively good quality of life.

I have to say, for me, this country is going along quite alright. But then again that is my opinion.

If you pay 50% of your income in Norway, you will have health care, pension, education, tertiary education, welfare for free and safety. In South-Africa we pay 40% and 20% for everything else, the "taxes" we pay are the highest in the world and we have to satisfeid with 3rd rate results. You are not safe outside your home which has security, health care subsidizes people with HIV and you pay for it. Add property taxes and VAT and you are left with 30% of what you worked for if you are lucky.

That's not bad considering the climate you have to endure. A place where the sun never goes down in summer and never comes up in winter...fun.

Please do not take this the wrong way, however if I really wanted all that 1st world stuff, I would move there. For sure the quality of the services that we do get for free is not up to scratch, and it is up to me to see that I do all I can to voice my concerns through the correct channels and pressurise to get things done. As for not being safe outside my home, well that is why I have insurance, coz s**t happens. If happen to get killed, I have made sure my loved ones will not go hungry.

I have a policy of, if I'm not happy with what I get after all deductions and bills that I have to pay, I work harder to be able to move up and improve my lifestyle. And this brings me to my original opinion of if this country was "falling apart" I would not be able to do that.
 
After listening to the audio books by Robert Kiyosaki and Donand Trump, while studying accounting for the past 3 days, while taking breaks to eat and study other subjects, I decided enough is enough, I want to be able to retire one day. I would need to be alive and to be in a economy which will safeguard my interests. I will invest in these developing countries only because of high returns which can be made here. A pension plan would not help me, as members of my family live extraordinary long lives. :) My goal for the next 5 years is to work hard, earn money, to purchase assets to serve as security to get financed debt to start a business. I plan to do that in a 1st world country, I'll exploit 3rd world countries to make huge profits. India and China are very good investments also, just not great to live there.
