What's the average bitrate?

If I'm on Afrihost+, does it come out of my data allocation?

The reason I'm asking is because I have a 2GB Afrihost Mobile bundle which just about gets me through the month, so i need to work out how much data this is going to use and whether the additional 500MB with Afrihost+ is going to be enough to cater for this.

I'll be using the service maybe 3 hours a day, during weekdays (so say 20 days a month)...

Thanks

Hi

simfy isn't a zero-rated service, so it will count towards your monthly data.
Are you asking about the bandwidth throughput required or the bitrate of the tracks?

Just make sure to uncheck the high quality streaming and download options in settings if you decide to go over cellular. Quality is not bad and good enough. What you can also do on Simfy is download over WiFi and play the downloaded songs from your playlists.

Ah yes! Completely forgot about local caching :)

Basically trying to figure out how much data i would need based on the bitrate of the tracks. Reason being that the service might be blocked on the wifi network at work, so i may have to use cellular data.

Also, are you guys planning on zero rating the service? Cos that really would be awesome...

Cool, thanks for the tip!

From my experience the songs are around 3MB-5MB, but does depend on the quality.
Zero-rating services is something that's in the works :)

Simfy is ok... But i switched to apple music, much better catalogue.

Simfy is OK apart from the player, still no EQ but if you just want a music fix it's fine!

You can store quite a few tracks for offline listening! Just remember your logon details as each time the app updates it seems to lose this info!!

EQ is in the settings.
