My internet is *@%*@#%@#% again, not even gonna bother contacting Axxess as their support is absolutely useless; probably gonna cancel with them as they don't seem to have a clue how to provide efficient customer support. A turn-around time of 4 days to reply to an e-mail is just plain pathetic. I don't care if they keep saying the problem is with SAIX as I am a customer of theirs and I unfortunately don't have the authority to query SAIX on the issue, THIS IS THEIR JOB!
The same thing has been happening here for the past week or two. Using the SAIX proxy usually fixes things, but I don't want to have to change that for every second site I try to open.
Even the OpenDNS site doesn't work properly without the proxy.
This issue is getting really ridiculous, i am realyl losing a lot of money due to telkom's incompetance, its been going on for three weeks now, late at night its fine, during the day the european sites are if not slow inacessable. I am starting to think they are doing it on purpose, with telkom idiots anything is possable.
I have just been called to a client that had ADSL installed yesterday and all was fine, now they are having problems. New client so I have not seen the setup yet, just hope I don['t spend hours when its actualy an unadmitted telkom issue
I only charge if I fix it, so telkom outages cost me in cash, but I guess I make it up in goodwill.
check what dns the router has been assigned
if using a saix based adsl acc.
see if the router have been assigned these dns server 196.43.53.190 and 196.43.54.190
thous dns server are in durban nad have been giving problem for the last 2weeks..
would try setting the dns server to one closer to where u stay listed below on the router...
below is list of saix dns excluding the durban ones.
