Some Windows 8 Apps Internet connection issue

Am I the only one experiancing issues with some of the apps not being able to pick up the internet connection?

Specifically the Music, Maps, Games, Travel, News apps.

IE10 works just fine in the Modern UI, so I'm confused as what could be wrong.

Yep, even though those apps asked me to re-enter my account details again.

I only managed to download one app so far which was the DSTV app for tv schedules. when I click to download any of the other apps it says "pending" but it doesn't download, you can see my thread http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/479110-Slow-Windows-8-App-Store, our problems could be related.

I dont think so, because the store works with me. Downloaded a few apps (social stuff) and updated some others. But the problem is when those apps must connect

Try clearing cache from the Store, also you can reset with WSRESET.EXE

I had similar problems, uninstalled AVAST... apparently it was conflicting with windows defender that also now got built in antivirus.. after that, all my apps work...

Having issues with Skype, just stopped working even after re-install.

Hi There,
I did a search around and found very few complaints about connectivity with Windows 8. The most common issue seemed to be around conflicting antiVirus as krono9 had.
I have not downloaded any apps from the store so can't comment on the current interface but I had problems previously with XBox account and it related to my details not being verified.
