Something bit me ....

[GROSSNESS ALERT]
Here is the longer one: Staphylococcus

Just don't google image it. It tends to show the absolute worst cases! You usually just hope it aint Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) - the kind of staph infection that can kill you and tends to be highly resistant to antibiotics.

For me it starts with small red spot and a deep shooting pain. Like a toothache. The pain goes away and it then forms like a normal zit. The center of the "zit" then usually tends to become a small black spot over the course of a few days. The deep throbbing pain usually comes back by now. You can puncture it and it will drain like this "thick" puss. You can keep doing this for weeks on end. If you do it properly you can get rid of it within a week. But this is only possible if the location of the wound is easy to reach. Usually if the last thick "snot-like" puss is out, leaving a gaping hole, it will stop progressing and start to heal.

I had one on the side of my face so I would use the hard bone at the back as a nice platform and apply a whole lot of pressure each night and clean it out properly. 3 days later it was 'over' and it started to heal.

So... basically a boil? You drama queen

As far as i know they don't make TCP anymore. Asked the chemist and he said its been discontinued.

They do and the chemist is talking schit.

It's not available locally due to a geographical rights/licensing issue. A stuffup between pfizer & omega-pharma.

violin spider - if it gets dark, feels swollen and tissue around the bite is "tight" and centre turns purplish than this is my bet - had one of those last year and spent 3 days in hospital - http://www.naschenweng.info/2009/01/04/****-little-miss-muffet

If you start to feel dizzy/feverish better check it out. Depending on your metabolism it will take 2-3 days until it starts attacking your lymph-nodes and you will feel tingling sensations all the way up from your calves to your thighs. Most GPs will misdiagnose and give you antihistamine which does nothing. The poison will break down with proper treatment and the bite-mark will leave a nice black ring and no hair will grow around this area forever.

Pot *cough* kettle. *cough*

Like I'd ever deny it :D

Ooh, that is new. Now I know what a boil is. Although a boil would imply that it is a hair follicle that got infected and that was never the case with the ones I got. Except once maybe.

You get them a lot then? >.>

Staph is icky to the max

I've been called a lot of things, but this is a first. Thx Lycanthrope :D

Any time :3
