hmm... in rivatuner there was an option to turn chipset compatibility on,so I did restarted and did 3dmark03 and score 15500...which is more about right isnt it? I then ran 3dmark06 and monitored temps and highest temp recorded after runnning the 1st 2 tests was 80
Okay that sounds like chipset drivers gone wrong. Maybe try a complete re-install of chipset drivers. ie uninstall and remove them from the registry etc...
Also the order in which you install drivers makes a difference.
Chipset first then gfx card.
15K is better but still way off where it should be. In 3DM03 you should be at 20K or somewhere very close
Ok, reinstalled drivers and no change so i went out and borrowed a 1gb DDR2 800 stick from my friend. Windows and everything boots up a lot faster so I ran a few tests.
3D Mark 03 - 16 400
TM Nations - 80fps
FEAR - Same results except the game ran smooth
Busy running 3D Mark 06
The only one I saw a decrease in performance was the game Company of Heros, on highest it looks almost looks like the cpu test on 3dmark 06 so I'm guessing from these results that it's both my ram and my PSU, gonna maybe try a different power supply a bit later...
