SONA 2015

On Nkandla:

Zuma wants his critics to apologise. He maintains Parliament has followed due process and cleared him. The President switched to the third person when offering his perspective: “When the matter of Nkandla was raised the view was Zuma squandered R250m. Zuma never decided the security upgrade was needed. Zuma did not eat the money. The media said I am corrupt and that because it starts at the top the country is corrupt. But why does nobody apologise? It is not a small matter than my name was raised. There is something fishy in this.” Zuma said he pays a bond on his own house at Nkandla. And referred to the “struggling economically” George Airport which was built as part of the security requirement for a previous President (PW Botha). Why, he asks, does nobody questions that?

I understand that but how is it funny? Because the ANC has only produced the village idiot and the DA has produced people with aspirations?

It's a bit of a joke because Zille clashed with Lindiwe and Lindiwe was going to clash with Maimane for parliamentary leader. Then suddenly she was off to Harvard.

So if Maimane makes trouble it's off to Harvard for him

So getting admitted to Harvard is within Helens power..... I'm sure ... Sounds like ANC logic.

Try and make an achievement some one worked for paid for and took hours and hours of personal time for and make it as if they got they for free. No hard work nothing. They will probably claim she stole it somewhere from someone.

And the fact that people that can read and write believe in this kind of crap shows that the IQ of an avarage ANC voter equals that of a bag of hair. Shampies. It must be hard to be that stupid.

Now now let's not exaggerate. Even as the EFF - with a lot of highly educated people - we all know the ANC has far more intellectuals than DA. Politics means that lamp is under a basket, not lampstand, but ANC is not filled with ignorant people I can assure you.

As for that village idiot, as things stand he's probably the key link between SA and out two biggest partners historically and today - Russia+China. He's the most powerful intelligence figure in the country - think Putin from KGB to the Presidency. Everyone fears him. But at the same time everyone respects him, not just because of his power but his intelligence.

Our learned Mbeki couldn't break him. Nothing thrown at him could stick and he's evaded court challenges. He's somehow coaxed the white man's favourite businessman to come and be his lackey (Cyril). Everyone within the ANC has discarded their morals to "protect" him.

He was out of government, had no means but still defeated&outsmarted a president with state agencies. Not even the private media campaign to keep out of the presidency achieved anything.

He's won by landslides in the ANC each time (giants like Phosa, Sexwale & Motlanthe being the latest examples), plus managed to get rid of Malema.

He has also proven to be good at building giants out of nowhere (Mkhize, Cwele, Mantashe), as well as reinvigorating those we least expected (Duarte&Radebe). His narrow misses are few and far between (Mdluli, Cele). Yet even the majority of South Africans were calling for Cwele not too long ago.

Zuma is also a brilliant businessman and he's worth billions of $us right now which will only get worse after he's no longer president. Just look at how well he's connected via ANC companies, DRC, Russia, China etc. His ridiculed big family and multiple kids are his trusted lieutenants in all these deals.

ANN7+TNA and INM (via Sekunjalo & government arms i.e. Chinese) all came to the fore during his tenure. He has defeated private media to some extent too. How many media institutions have made apologies during his tenure. And while on apologies you can throw in some corporates too.

Not even the people he has used have been able to say anything to implicate him in anything - Shaik, Reddy, Guptas etc. He uses you throws you away and you cannot say a single thing after that.

Another thing is his humility. ZANU+Mugabe were said to be funding & controlling EFF but ZANU have been endorsing ANC, ANC have endorsed Mugabe+ZANU in Zimbabwe and they are all bossom buddies. In reference to Zuma's humility I mean his capacity to learn from Mugabe - information&secrecy laws, "abuse" of power, control all state & security structures - SARS, SAPS, NPA, SABC; work on the judiciary is almost complete etc.

(He has achieved all of this minus a two-thirds majority - with the DA watching helplessly, unconsciously legitimising a non-existant democracy through empty court victories, and making pointless noises that didn't get the people's attention until the EFF came to tell them in a language they understand that Zuma must be stopped.)

The only thing people keep saying is how uneducated he is or unintelligent he sounds, yet no one questions how such respected and senior veterans of the ANC chose him as intelligence head.

By the way, Mbeki tried to achieve this all-encompasing power too, using an iron fist and failed. Zuma has done it without breakign any sweat, giggling all the way. Even women in the executive say they will defend him with their bums, some will even strip naked in his defence. Mbeki probably envies his power and wonders how he achieved it so easily.

To be quite honest, who in your view is a greater strategist and survivor than Zuma in this country? Be honest.

Wow that's a lot of drivel. People don't fear him, they ridicule him and he is so afraid that he has to stoop to avoiding parliment, build a R247M compund with additional security upgrades and hiding behind armed thugs and cell scramblers.

Respect is earned and he deserves none.

Lots of grandmasters and super-grandmasters commenting here. Lots of smilies as well. In fact, there is not much comment at all about this.

CASAC(Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution) has its take
https://www.facebook.com/CASACZA/posts/819995168060414

Part in bold, two parties used Rule 14 - EFF & DA. The fact that only EFF alone is accused of applying unconstitutional practice in this regard means one of two things - the DA is too irrelevant to be considered or CASAC are being racist.

Dali Mpofu agrees https://twitter.com/AdvDali_Mpofu/status/566511759234957312
The fact that you are unable to differentiate between the way the DA handled matters versus the EFF is the only problem here. While the Speaker was addressing the EFF they continued talking. They made it apparent they were not willing to listen. Which they weren't.

Each time the DA raised a point they would hear out the speaker without heckling from other DA members.

No doubt the way things are handled "behind the scenes" also plays. The ANC seem to respect the DA as an opposition. There is no respect for the EFF. As they say, respect is earned...

Oh yes, and before I forget... uploadfromtaptalk1423950404406.jpg

...been analysed as a joke and a childish tendency by the EFF which many people would've criticised as turning Parliament&SONA into a circus.

Oh, and we didn't now? I saw a number of tweets, which I am not going to bother finding now, referring to kindergarten children or class one kids gatecrashing a matric gathering.

The EFF clearly appeals to a special kind of person. I'm certainly not one.

As I said earlier, why do people not have ZCFOutkast on ignore yet?
