With all the issues that have been going on with congested exchanges etc I decided to have the guys from Sonic come out last week to do an inspection. As luck would have it I am 1.2km away from one of the main towers and 4.2kms away from the other. So what does this mean? It means I can get a pretty damn decent connection! Its not goinf to be cheap but hey, I need my internets back!

They are installing today and I will let you all know how it goes when I get home.

They go up to 10mpbs but you can ask them to custom make a package for you.
I am paying R 2499-00 for a 20mbps connection.

You mean torrents? Works 100%, haven't seen any sort of throttling

I enquired about their 2mb 20gig capped package & according to the very friendly Amanda online gaming & vid streaming is bearable

Little update
Last night there was an issue somewhere with interference and I had a very unstable connection.
Logged a call and everything was sorted out later that evening ( Impressed )

Speed is still consistent
