Sonoff SV - Dead?

It measures 19v. When the Sonoff is connected the voltage drops down to 9v.
I do not have a buck converter, but i am thinking of just running a cable from the 12v power supply that feeds to the gate motor.

this is very odd, im preplexed

I will get back in the garage and go over everything one more time to make sure its nothing stupid i am missing.
I removed the hard wired control pad that was conencted to the same connections i am trying to use, and that was all functioning before I removed it.

Now that i think about it, the garage door motor does say 24v AC/DC. I wonder if it doesnt have some switching mechanism that is uses to detect what kind of output voltage is required based on the resistance it recieves from the conencted device. The sonoff was working previously on the garage motor, but only for brief intervals.

Just a final update, I ran seperate power from a 12v DC powersupply. It seems like the garage motor has some strange volatages coming out of it so I figured I would just avoid using it to power the sonoff altogether.
