Who has this phone?? Any good? I been to gsmarena and google - but i would like people to please give comments who has first hand experience with this phone. thank you for your time!:)

erm. im seriously not gonna entertain you with a comment....

IM NOT TRYING TO ENTERTAIN - I TRIED POSTING IN THE CORRECT SECTION. I DID NOT KNOW IT WILL COME UP ON THE NEW POSTS AGAIN... /me hands pooky a prozac - chill dude!

I'm chilled as chilled can be. I'm not the one posting in capitals bunny.

Well, you got me irate, as i feel like a fool ok. anyways, if you dont have anything positive to add regarding my question, please dont bother. thank you.

It's a shocking phone... Don't get it. Rather go for a P1i if you want that form factor. If the form factor isn't what you are going for but rather the features, try a W960i. If that's too expensive, try a G900.

All extremely similar phones (same OS, etc) with similar features

thanks sn3rd. I take it you had one, and had bad experiences? thanks for letting me know!

Dont get it!
Like they said P1 is far better!!
G900 is the best symbian SE atm imo!

No, I haven't had one, but you'd be crazy to get the M600 instead of the P1i. It's just not as good (look at the specs). They have the same form factor, but AFAIK the P1i has more memory (which you WILL notice on UIQ 3.0). It's just not a smart buy.

  • If you want a phone LIKE the M600, rather go for the P1i
  • If you want a UIQ 3.0 phone, have a look at the W960i (loads of memory, nice looks, non-qwerty keypad (big plus for me) )
  • If the W960i is too expensive, have a look at the G900: similar specs to the W960i (better camera & camera interface, less memory, smaller screen, not as good build-quality (from what I hear: you'd have to check it out for yourself to be sure) )
  • If G900 is not an option, and you are still looking for a smart phone, you should have already looked at the Nokia range
  • If you are just looking for a Sony Ericsson phone, consider the W890i (slim Walkman candybar) or the W910i (Walkman slider, handset of the year 2007)
  • If you are not looking for a Walkman, have a look at the K810i: excellent camera, nice responsive interface and comfortable size, but keypad takes some getting used to, and it may be a little "old", technology-wise. Still, it's a favourite among many because it's such a good phone

What kind of budget do you have? Are you getting the phone on contract? What are your needs (organiser, multimedia player, camera, etc) ?

Hello Sn3rd! Thank you VERY much for the post - it really really helped alot!! Well, i would like a phone that can basically do anything, an office kinda phone. I do not want contract, so i will buy cash. Yes, i do want multimedia, organizer, preferably touch screen - im not to fazed about if its got a camera or not. Budget - i dont want to spend more than R5000. But i was getting a sweet deal for the M600i @ R1000. So if its not a good phone - rather then buy something new? The W960i and G900 does look quite nice - will have to see how much it is. BTW, iyho, what do you think about the iPhone 3G - do you think i should rather wait for that?

The P1 is much nicer than the M600, but the M600 became popular in Europe (well while i was there) because it does not have a camera and ALOT of companies and factories do not allow cameras or camera phones inside. (the same applies at Sasol in South Africa)

its an OK phone, but a bit dated...

As far as the iPhone 3g goes, do you really want an office phone that does not have a physical keypad???

Hi Q121 - I just love touch screen - as its easier for me, and a personal preference. I can get the M600i one for R1000. Is it a good price? Or should i just buy a G900 - or wait for iPhone. Im a libra - so i tend to be indecisive. also, when i spend a few grand - i want to know its worth it. but the hype surrounding the iphone - makes me wonder...
