Sony Ericsson P990i

P990i spotted in MTN shop

Hi guys

Saw a P990 on display in a MTN shop today. Wanted to ask them if they have stock but sales person was busy with customers and I had no time to wait. But if it's on display it should be available right?
am also due for an upgrade in 9 days, and I want a P990 :D .

I would guess so no point in having it on display if you don't have it

A phone that has it all - But that will never come

So for now I'll settle for my Blackberry and the Nokia N95 when it gets released

Hi MTN DD

What proto-type phone is it that your testing now ? I checked it yesterday and that seems like a awesome alround phone for now....

The Samsung i320

Not a bad phone it's got EDGE, windows mobile 5 MS activesnc, MSN7, windows media player and couple of other things battery life is really *** it lasts you until around 13:30 and then you have to change the battery which isn't a ideal solution in my mind

The N95 seems like an awesome phone ... all the features of the P990, smaller in size, plus navigation software as well as a 5MP camera :). I waited more than a year for the P990 ... might as well wait a little longer for the N95 :)

I really, really like the N95

The N95 has only been launched last week in Cape Town. We have not even had evaluation samples yet. I expect it to be available late Nov.

I'm also very excited about the N95 - I have decided that I'm gonna skip the P990i, till Sony get their house in order..

The N95 has the same CPU as the N93, 330mhz ARM. No info on GPS chip. Battery 950mAH LiPO

Needless to be shocked, Sony Ericsson P990i has the same 950mAH battery too and slower 208mHz Philips Nexperia CPU.

Lets face it, the P990i is by now an outdated phone.
