Sony Ericsson P990i

Hi MTNDD,

If one member saw it in one MTN shop, it means that MTN has released the P990i. I have phoned MTN in K90 centre, and they do not have any stock and do not have any dates. Would you mind checking with Midrand and let us know which MTN shops have got stock?

It has been confirmed,

Vodacom shall be receiving stock in their warehouse, 23rd October, limited stock. Selected dealers shall be receiving from 24th onwards, there are only 500 units to be allocated for the whole network of Vodacom dealers,

Actually using a HP Ipaq hw6515d for the last 3 month waiting for the P990i, and can't wait anymore. Nothing beats a Symbian UIQ phone.

Anyone fancy buying a HP Ipaq hw6515d. Comes with 1gb sd card, and the south african map for the GPS navigation as well. Have all the booklets, cd's and softwares. Just threw away the box. Anyone interested let me know.

Any views on the SE M600? sum1 told me it doesnt have a camera though its a 3g fone
 
Kingrob, I was actually interested to know as I am sick of waiting so I was looking at buying it online from overseas and shipping it and I wanted to see if the price would be similar...

However, I do think you should be more focused on providing constructive feedback in this type of forum rather concerning yourself with my financial affairs.

Rellik, thanks for the info... Clearly there is no word on the price and the availability looks like its limited... So seriously considering importing...
If anyone is interested it works out to be about R 4500 to R5000 with shipping and import tax with 3-4 days turnaround time.

Nixxon, you're absolutely right - it's not cool to point out that you might be 'financially disadvantaged', I mean other people read this as well! My apologies!

Nixon, the question is, should we continue to support a company that feels so little for us?
I'm about to start mass action here. We are living in SA, the country of mass action aren't we? So if others can do it so can we ;)
Im have already started loosing my plak for this phone, even before i get mine. And looking at the my symbian site, chances are we're still in for a rough ride once we get our hands on these monsters.......
 
People seem to say after the software upgrade the phone runs well.
But it is an SE, and they do give problems. I'm also quite sure the P910 is a big fix over my P900. (Meaning the p990 could be even allot better)

And, sony does kinda suck at creating user interfaces useable by human beings, that's where nokia is ahead.

My only problem is, I dont want a nokia :confused:

Oh, and yeah, maybe we shouldnt support them. But are we sure it's their fault?

Sorry to change the subject somewhat - Have you guys seen the new Samsung i320 what a phone I'm using one at the moment

Very, very nice single complaint is that it comes with a desktop charger and the battery last's well let's say I haven't changed it since 05:00 this morning so I'll probably have to change it at about 17:00

It's got Microsoft active sync, windows mobile 5 and it's a really nice phone in general

Just thought I would share that with you guys

I don't know, but Samsung mobiles doesn't 'do it for me'.

If I get a Samsung mobile, I most probably gonna press the Start button on the Samsung microwave when the phone starts to ring.
