P990i - International : P990a - America : P990c - China ;)

You do not just get a P990. P990 just refers to them all. If you are in South Africa... You will get the P990i.

Sorry MJB, I don't know about an option to resync it on the phone.

*My LCD screen at home is easy, just press the 'auto' button on the front and the 'shivering' stops. :)

Do you know where I can get the golf game again... It is no longer on my phone after the format...
 
thanks MJB. Now where can I fiind a P990c in SA??? Guess I'll just have to
stick to the local P990i. Got the HTC TyTN with the windooze mobile 5.0
Neat little phone, but am used to using my SP910. Anyway have a comparison
between these 2 phones? me too lazy to google, but I guess it all depends
one what you're going to use it for.

Yeah, I guess it does really just depend. I like the P990i as it allows for one handed use... Sms'ing etc.

Nice thing about TyTn though... It has HSDPA and W/Lan b and g.

I used the Imate Jam for a long time... and it kind of put me off. Do not know what the TyTn is like to use on a daily basis though

If you go to SonyEricsson Support web site, they say that there's a link to the software if you've deleted it from your phone - but the link just pops you back to the main support site. :confused:

Really stupid that they didn't put the golf game on the PC Suite CD.... :(

*Might have to 'Google' to find it again, or phone SonyEricsson.

how can i get rid of the dumb voda start up screen? the rest of the software is regular SE software

As far as I know... The only way is to get Vodacom to flash it to generic software...

Let's hope the next firmware release will give us back even more....

Still cool to think I've got my first 3G mobile phone. :)

Go to www.gsmarena.com . Go the the brand of choice, select the phone (calling up the specs) and then select "compare" (under the phone's picture). It will then give you an option to select a different phone to compare the specs with.

this phone is a MACHINE

yesterday i typed some sms that i had to enter the word "metallica" in it. obviously the phone does not know the word so i had to type it manually. now today im typing an sms, and lo and behold there in the predicive text options is the word metallica now. it flippen remembers all new words, no more saving special words in "my words"

@ MJB and the King, what did you format to free up so much RAM Phone Storage or Mem Stick Storage? Doesn't this just free up storage space?

Please bestow your wisdom on freeing up more RAM :D

Hi everybody, I am new to this Forum, got my P990i last week after waiting for a year. Upgraded from a P800, so I am realy impressed.

Does anybody have the exact measurements of the custom Screen Protectors?
I want cut a screen protector from a bigger piece.
