Sony Ericsson Satio Owners

anyone know if the satio can play flash objects? how is the browsing capability on the phone? I just hate it when a web page has some flash menu or something and it cannot navigate furhter.

what about youtube? can it play clips straight off there?

does the phone auto rotate between portrait and landscape when browsing the internet and watching photos and sms'ing?

can it make voip calls with eg skype? or is special expensive software required?

thanks...

nice....

what about .swf , .mkv, and .avi file playback on the phone?

can it download any attachment (what format) or just media files from its email client? Is there a limit to size?

if I have a file (any format) on the phone, can I attach it as an attachment to a forum/mail?

thanks

most symbian phones can utilise skype or similar software. my old N95 did so this should be no problem. i used Fring for skype which is free.

Just got my Satio - loving it :)

Busy downloading the upgrade software.

When I install it, is it like updating windows? Ie, I won't lose my contacts or data saved to the phone or do I have to back it all up somewhere?

use sony pcsuite to backup first. the upgrade will prompt you for this anyway.

+ you have the option of a 'clean' install (wipes everything) or just install software(keeps all user files)

Cool, thanks. I did that. Can't say the phone seems any better, though. If anything, it is a bit slower...But maybe that's just me.

Anyone know how to make the clock on the standby screen bigger or have it have the date on it as well? The full page one that is...

No, the phones perfect, its me that has a problem :)

I cannot hold onto these things for more that 6 months. Mines now for sale on Gumtree. I love every minute of the Satio, but its time for me to move on.

@ janplank, dont cancel the Satio, wait for it, its still by far the best phone i ever owned.

I've had a look at the demo phone at vodashop last Friday. The cover for the camera looks cheap and loose? is this the case or not really?

The active camera cover on the Satio is the best on the market at the mo.

The camera cover is great.

The K750 and K810 were always opening in my pocket. That is no problem here.

I am not the biggest fan of the responsiveness of the screen when typing in alphanumeric mode - seem to have to press kinda hard.

Also some very basic features are missing - like a key lock clock or the ability to set a picture and preview to an sms - which you could do with previous SEs. And the 'sms preview' app is not nearly what I am looking for in this regard.

Other than those gripes, I am loving it.

The camera is awesome :)
