Yes, I hacked it using HelloOX2

I'm running the following apps:

Quickoffice v6.2 full
SBSH FExplorer Pro v2.1
OVI Maps 3.03.49
Adobe Reader LE v2.496
Skyfire

And the following games:

Ferrari 3D (Excellent graphics)
Lets Golf 3D (Also excellent graphics)

Haven't tried any other apps yet.


Oh yes. And of course Garmin MobileXT

@Piesang: You've used the 5800 and now the satio. I'm currently using a 5800 and am considering the Satio for my upgrade next month. Can you maybe give us a comparison of the key features? Not the camera of course because the Satio is in a different league. Just the overall user experience, call quality, ease of use etc.
 
Ok. Here is what I think of the Satio if I have to compare it to the 5800 which I'm still trying to sell. lol

Positive points imo

HSDPA speeds are excellent. Online browsing using Skyfire browser is awesome. I haven't used it as a modem yet connected to my PC at home, which I did a lot with the 5800, but I'm sure that will be the same, if not better than using my 4mb ADSL at my studio.
Overall Speed of the phone. Well, you just can't compare. Opening apps, playing games, etc... is so quick. Especially 3D games like "Let's Golf" and "Ferrari 3D".
Camera as we all know if much better. Not only still pictures but movie quality too.
GPS is also very quick. You get a lock in about 5 seconds, something that was only reachable on the 5800 after a few software updates.
The overall feel of the phone is also very solid. Some people say that it scratches very easily, mine is still fine.
Call quality is on par with the 5800 which imo is very good. I don't think you get better call quality on any phone other than a Nokia.

Negative points imo

The battery only lasts 2 days if you play with it a little bit. With heavy usage you should have to charge it every night while you are sleeping otherwise it will go dead during the next day. I switch mine off at night.

Overall I like the Satio more than the 5800.

how much you want for the 5800?
 
anyone here with a satio, how long does it take to start up after you switch it on?

I have a SE W910i but it is a load of crap!! I have a lot of problems with the phone.
I am upgrading end of april and I am considering the Satio, but I am skeptical......
 
20sec is slow? Or is that how long smart phones take? I never had one before.

Won't I regret taking the Satio after 6 months(If I decide to get it on my upgrade)?
 
Ask yourself. How many times are you going to switch off your phone during the day?

I switch mine off when I go to bed and then I switch it on in the morning. Is there any reason why you would want to do that more than once a day?

Smart phones does take a while to start up. Blackberries can take up to a minute if not more but I hardly ever switch it off.
 
I have to take my battery out of w910i a lot because it craches. that's why I ask. Is the Satio software stable?

How much mp3 playback time can the Satio handle ?
 
Satio firmware update is available now. I ran the Update Service and it picked up the update straight away. I will only update tomorrow morning though.

Here’s the list of highlights:

* Support for WVGA video recording – The already great video recording will be enhanced to fit the wide screen format and hence resolution is also slightly increased to 864 * 480 pixles. (the preset size will still be VGA, user has to change to get WVGA)
* Upload of pictures to Facebook – It will be possible to upload pictures directly from the picture menu you have on the home screen or from the Media UI.
* Youtube video uploading – It will be possible to upload videos to Youtube directly from the Media UI.
* Conversational messaging – “Conversations” will be nicely integrated in the messaging menu in order to easily find and inspire to more conversations with your friends.
* DLNA support – The new software will support DLNA media server for easy transfer of audio and still pictures. (Note that video is not supported)
* UI improvements – On top of above, several minor UI improvements have been done in order to optimize the user experience.
* The Facebook application that is now available on PlayNow for free download will be included in the sw.
 
I've updated my Satio's firmware this morning. If you havent done it yet then do it now.

It's awesome. If you think that it was fast, wait till you see it now.

The WideScreen Video Capture is also awesome.
 
Piesang, nice to know about the FW update being good - I'm planning to get one next month. I just wish they sold higher capacity batteries as I'd love to use the Satio as my primary MP3 player.

Is there any chance you could leave music playing and see how long the battery lasts? :)
