Sony keeps PS3 shipment hopes

it looks like it but the funny thing is if blue ray takes off and becomes a success the ps3 wont only be sold to gamers, bu it will be sold to every one looking for a good blue-ray player, that means there will be sony laughing at every one, oh sony ps3 are actually cheaper then ANY other blue-ray player, thus it would seem more attractive to buy and it can store music, movies, pictures and even play games. so in that aspect sony have done a good job, but i still think blue-ray might be to advanced for current times and it may fall flat, thus the xbox'x dvd drives are smiling because it's a safe and proven format, it also it is cheap to make and games are easy to put on it. if blue-ray is to advanced right now, in a year its going to look rather attractive to people and that could be when sony will start seeing the money, i guess only time will tell whether the use of blue ray and other technologies(cell prossesor) will pay off

The PS3 might be a nice machine but it's overpriced for South Africa.

I don't care who wins the Blu-Ray/HDDVD race personally but I am not buying either until I see a winner. Or at least can buy either in the shops?

How many Blu-Ray discs do you see in the shops at the moment?

Rather go for the Xbox 360. Half the price and better gfx according to the reviews currently.

In a year's time PS3 will have won the next generation console war hands down.

Even though the naysayers have good arguments right now, it will mean nothing when there are 10 of millions of PS3 consoles are out there and the content comes raining down.
