Sony tablets unveiled

Sony on Tuesday unveiled its first tablet computers, codenamed S1 and S2, in a direct but belated challenge to Apple's iPad.

I dunno about Sony... they love there proprietary add ons, at big price. Still have bad memories of Playstation 8Mb memory card, for more expensive than u can get a 8Gb USB flash disk
But Sony, I guess, have a devoted following, much like Apple with their unique stuff.
All in all, the more competitors, the better for us consumers!

Agreed with the view on Sony, if I need anything my brand choice would go like this

Open Source, Microsoft, Apple, No-name brand, Chinese knock-off,.......... Sony.

And there goes Sony again on some tangent that no-one can afford, probably stuffed with proprietary memory sticks, ports, and sharing software. The only "good" thing they have going is Android. But wait... Sony is the type of company that will decide to force a firmware upgrade that breaks half the things you bought their product for in the first place. So no thanks.

Good to see one of the big players joining the tablet game, i look forward to playing with one, but will not invest in one as stated above, only sony followers will afford this one unless they have listened to us and undercut Apple.....

Looking forward to seeing them in action, Sony are renown for making quality products.

I personally love Sony, even though they are sort of the 'premium' brand along with Apple against companies like Samsung, Toshiba etc.. The products always look good and perform excellently.
