Above rumored specs are from GSM Arena - http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z4-6878.php

Now, if the above specs are anything to go by, this will be my next smartphone, as I am already eligible for a contract upgrade - as I currently have the Samsung Galaxy S4 and now looking at other brands as in my honest opinion Samsung are losing their ground on high-end mobile flagships...
Only gripe - Non-removable Li-Ion battery...

Cheers

Hmm, very similar except that the Z4 has a higher res camera and the G4 supports Telkom LTE.

True that, but I reckon I might not jump onto the LG train as yet ;)

I have played with the current Z3, and I am impressed on it, hence the move away from Samsungs train and onto Sony's :D

Just get a Z3 now. With Tech there's always something new and the Z4 will take months to get here anyway.

I will wait for either this or iPhone 6S/7 whichever first!

btw Sony seems to be clawing to life apparently: PlayStation Is Currently Helping Keep Sony Afloat

In February 2014, Sony projected losses of 110 billion yen (£637m / $1.1 billion) forecast, itself a reduction from an October 2013 projection of a 30 billion yen (174m / $294m) profit. In late April that figure got worse with new projected losses for the fiscal year ending March 31 2014 estimated at 130 Billion Yen (£753m / $1.3 billion).

With fiscal 2014 fast drawing to a close, Sony is once again talking numbers and it paints a peculiar picture.

While Sony’s phone and TV divisions are not at risk of dragging the company down, they have been perennially underperforming despite the fact that the Xperia Z3 sitting next to this keyboard is a marvelous device. The weight is presently very much on the Games and Network Services Division to carry Sony.

In the third quarter ending December 31 2014, Sony’s GNS division raked in 531.5bn yen or £2.9 billion in revenue. More than any other division. This translated to a 16.8% year on year sales increase, mostly attributed to the booming PS4 sales.

Thread necro, do they still sell the Z4 in SA or has it been completely replaced by the Z5 now?
