Damn. Can't win on all fronts. One quick question Fanie, checking the G4 out, specs look pretty good - Is the LG's "touchwiz" (don't know the name) decent enough?

Yeh, pretty close to vanilla. I'm excluding launcher, because that doesn't count. Can easily get the vanilla of that via a play store download. But the notification shade and all that is pretty standard stuff... Settings a little different, but not in a bad way.

What do you guys use/do to optimize the battery life on your device?

Have the Z5 compact for 3 days now and it seems to last about 14/18hours...
Not sure if it still needs to get into the cycle or something...?

The stamina mode is permanently on apparently with MM.

Nothing special on mine. Battery life with Android's Doze is acceptable. Stamina mode will be added back in soon.

I was reading comments on a recent review site and at least half the guys preferred the Z2 after upgrading

I got myself a new Z5 yesterday and I must say, it's a massive improvement over the previous generation.

I had a Z3c (not sure if the Z3 is much better) and was left rather disappointed. This Z5 is a lot smoother and the camera is actually decent.

It had 3 updates available. One was an update staying on lollipop, the next was to marshmallow and the final one was for further improvements on marshmallow.

The last number you called takes some time to display the contact name.

All the other calls display except for the last number dialed...

Xperia Z5 premium have received android 7.0

On MTN

The update is over 1GB
In my case it sat in the top left corner asking for wifi all of yesterday.
