Is that the big ass thing that wanted to DL over wifi today?!?

It's over 1GB of data, so I said no to it's request to udate

With Samsung I waited two years for an update. With Sony it took two weeks. 6.0 is awesome. Just a note stamina mode is no longer available and is replaced by Google doze.

My wife is due for an upgrade.

She is keen on the Z5 because of the good camera.

Is it a better buy than a Samsung S7 and why? I ask this as I don't have any experience with Sony so this will be a first time for us.

Thanks.

Sony is awesome and cheaper. I get two days plus battery life, 806ppi screen and the camera tops it off. I'm into making timeshift videos lately. Do a comparison on GSM arena and then decide

1)Sony Android experience is closer to stock android than Samsung's touchwiz

Really really good battery life in my experience. I think it looks great too.

S7 is a good phone, depends on preference I guess. If she is keen on a Z5 she won't be disappointed, I'm beyond ecstatic with mine.

Z5 camera is not that good. Don't let the megapixels fool you.

The G4 and S7 is noticeably better.

LOL the 805ppi doesn't mean much if the 4k screen is only 4k when you use the gallery app. Rest of the time it is 1080p, which is really pathetic tbh.

I had the normal Z5 and the battery life was pathetic.

Sony might be closer to stock, but the theme support make up and surpass what vanilla android gives you.

I have the Z5P.
unplugged it early morning(before 6am).
have done some mybb, and other browsing. Spoken to a few people(prob about 1hr talk time), chatted on sms, whatsapp, telegram.

And my phone still on 90% power.

Yeah I can get 2 days out of my Z5P with 70% brightness, bluetooth on and wifi on all the time +-4 hours SoT.

Hi All

Thanks for all the info. I must admit I am now more unsure.

With which phone then will the photos which you take and down load to a computer be better? S7 or Z5.

Does not matter which way she decides to go it will be a massive jump from a Samsung S4 Mini.

From what I saw on GSM Arena both phones will deliver when looking at phoning, Whatsapp, Facebook ext.

The deciding factor in the end will be which phone takes the best pictures. (Viewed on something else and not the phone)

Thanks for all the advice.

If she's on a Samsung, then it's less pain in going to another Samsung device. I went from a Samsung S3 to a Sony Z2 and found it irritating in the beginning in terms of the Sony way or rather Sony Android user experience. Now I've gone back to Samsung in the S7, and I prefer Sony's button & controls placement.
