If anyone who thinks this is acceptable were told by their child after school they were given a birth control injection there would be a post-deleting frenzy followed by outrage of nuclear magnitude.

Lovely thinking. Lets start with the expropriation of land without compensation and take from the whites first as they have the most. Surely all these people arguing for this type of thinking are trolling right? Are we on candid camera?

So too is the social stigma surrounding it. I am sure some of these pupils would have wanted to prevent pregnancy on their own using those options available to them, for free, but they are afraid of what people might think of them when asking for such free options.

And here I thought that 5 minutes ago, it wouldn't matter if one pupil died from complications or side effects after getting an injection without her consent... :whistle:

You are so informed about the poor's lives that you didn't even know that long term contraceptives are free and available at clinics.

What do poor people have to gain from having less mouths to feed ? You serious ?

Punishing poor people ? , not exactly, contraceptives cost money , many do not have the time or means to get to a state facility, especially learners, so rolling out a program that visits schools, performs tests to see who is pregnant and who is already on contraceptive and then providing injections which last only about 3 months at a time for free , is certainly not punishing them for being poor, its actually providing for the poor.

Please you and your family report to your nearest government clinic as the world has come to an agreement you should not be spreading your genes any further. Please post pics here to prove it.

Yes I do, and I also know that to most other people it would be no skin off their nose if anything happened to her. Vice versa.

So you would be OK, if she got home today after school (assuming she is in school) and said, "hey dad, all the girls including me got birth control injections today". That would be hunky dory right?

I am part of the world, and I have not agreed to that.

While the decision to inject these pupils with birth control was a controversial one, it was done to at least give them some chance at a better life. I'm not saying it was right, but the idea of preventing teen pregnancies is good. Might just need to work on the execution there of.

Again, for me that would not be a problem - but that is just me. Other people will not be happy with that. So that point does not really help at all. What would help is if we can get some way to help these kids not have kids while they are still kids themselves.

Do you think the life of a baby is wonderful if the mother of the baby is still a kid at school?

Do you remember reading countless news articles about the bodies of newly born babies discovered in long drops or on rubbish dumps? But I guess that's OK with you because at least the mothers human rights weren't violated.
