Sound Cards...

I didn't really believe people when they told me onboard sucks.. till the day I watched Independence Day HD with my Asus Xonar D1

Used to enjoy my Onboard RealTek with Creative Inspire T6100 speakers, but I would recommend a Xonar if you have the spare change.

Don't get a sound card - it would be a waste of money with those speakers. Speaking of which, for the price of those Razer speakers, you could have got a nice second hand amp and bookshelf speakers...

Club 3D has launched their Auze .. I mean Theatron Agrippa here :

It's basically a rebadged Auzentech Xplosion and its getting some good reviews. For 770 smackers, its definitely a bargain.

Don't bother with their 5.1 card though, thats about as good as an onboard soundcard.

Otherwise, have a look at the ASUS Xonars. They all pretty good.

Don't bother with Creative cards, they over priced and have very bad drivers and support.

Anyways... I am really interested in getting the Theatron Agrippa as I think it is a steal at R577 at takealot.co.za and I will use it my HTPC/Gaming setup at home. Besides the review already posted here, has anyone purchased one that can give me a bit of feedback?
