South Africans in Action

Exciting to finally get to see Caster today, hopefully she is in some sort of decent form and can breeze through her heat.
 
3 Big finals today.

The 200m mens race is probably the highlight and its great to have a South African in it. Sure Jobodwana may not compete for the 3 medal positions but at least we have someone in the race.

The Kayak women's race should be interesting. Hartley seems to have a great backend to her race, so we could see a medal from her.

Viljoen in the javelin was probably, going into the games, the athlete most people saw as our best chance of a gold medal. Its a tough field but lets hope she shows her form and bring home the gold or at least a medal.
 
She had a faster time than the winning time, in the semis, but of course something like this is highly reliant on other factors.
 
Another bleak day for us; I guess we at least get to see Oscar race today.
 
Our last chance at a medal today, lets hope Caster runs just as well as she did in the heats.
 
Why is there no word Olympics in the title of this thread when I've been searching for this for the last two weeks? :-\
Or did the IOC ban you from using it?

Not sure if you are being serious? Its under the sub-topic London Olympics 2012, I would have thought that would've given it away.
