South Africa's most useless website ?

It is useful for adding/removing services like ad-hoc data and SMS bundles, when it works and you are able to do so without getting an error EVERY TIME... and whether they actually remove a bundle from your billing or not, and not just your profile, is another story hahaha Totally useless site, totally useless call centre, totally useless at responding to Hello Peter complaints too...

www.sapo.co.za

I use the Track and Trace option quite a bit. What I have found (try it and feedback here if it works for you) is that when the site is taking long to load, refresh the page while it is loading. Immediate response with full page available! Same with the T&T selection - normally takes forever. Select option, wait a few seconds and refresh page...

Hi, yes. I have noticed something similar, though it doesn't always load after clicking refresh. Problem also happens with that little window that pops up where tracking number is entered.

I have also noticed that you can enter the Post Office tracking numbers on the SpeedServices website and get results. At one stage this wasn't permitted. However the SpeedServices site is just as bad as the SAPO site (most likely the same server and definitely the same database).

One thing that also works fairly well is when using Opera, switch to turbo mode. That way the SAPO website is first loaded by the Opera servers which then sends it to your PC.

Tried all the sites listed so far & they were indeed slow to load. However, when refreshing with cache override(ctrl+shift+r with Firefox), they all worked ok?!?!?

http://www.juliusmalema.co.za/ <- not sure if serious
I've also heard so many complaints about the SAPO website.
www.durban.gov.za should be mind blowingly awesome according to the DA this is what was spent on it:
R10 million The Durban Municipality spent R6.5m for its Durban 2010 website, and pay approximately R2.7 million a year for the website’s maintenance.

SAPO website really sucks. When I order goodies from Take2, I like to choose to have it shipped to the PO (especially with the free shipping over R350) since I can't know for sure if somebody will be home to get the package from a courier. But tracking the package is totally useless when using the PO. Just the other day, I was issued with a tracking number which had been used back in 2009. So when I was able to access the SAPO website (late at night), it was really weird seeing a route from 2009 :p

I think I'll stick to couriers since their websites at least work!

I don't think they actually check. Usually a registration just goes through automatically...

PHOOONNNNEEEE!!!!

Their system is probably outdated. at least the service is there as a confirmation to the sender that the parcel has been received.
