'South Korea will remove evolution from its high school textbooks'

My problem is evolution poses as a scientific theory when it isn't . It claims to explain how life evolved and to bring a better understing of how life forms developed but to a specific point that if you dare mention that specific point you almost get burned at the stake.

My point is we don't know as you said, I am humble enough to admit it. And end my arguement at this point.

I will humbley agree to disagree as none of my points were heard.
It is science. It is falsifiable. It is a valid explanation for what we have observed so far. Is it perfect? Who knows. We can only keep modifying our theories to fit what we observe about our universe. Like it or not this is science. The theory of evolution is science.

It has fsck all to do with the origins of the universe so please stop pretending that it does.
It has fsck all to do with abiogenesis so stop pretending that it does.
It has fsck all to do with ANY gods so stop pretending that it does.
STOP IT.

I don't give s schit what your others points were the particular points you were going for when you tried to string all that schit into evolution is rubbish. You are talking out of your ass, you know and I know it, now kindly stop it.

Inherited traits can remain inherited traits, if or when or if ever it results in speciation, only then do we have evolutionary change.
Sure except I never once used the word "change" anywhere in my post so I have no idea what this has to do with the price of tea in China.

Unless you are implying that this is what evolution is. Which is BS. The next generation is part of evolution whether change has occurred or not.

Reminds of when the church burnt scientists but now scientists flame christians ,how similar to religious lunatics we have become. :)

I see you fail to comprehend time.

we not talking 10 or even 20 thousands of years here, we talking 3000 million years. Do you have any idea of how a constant change reflect in that time period?

lemme give you a hint: http://i.imgur.com/MJaXV.gif
Oh give it a rest. These people just want to wallow in their own ignorance. If he wants to be disingenuous let him.

Dude I'm only flaming some ignorant dude that thinks evolution has something to do with the beginnings of the universe. That you are Christian is merely a coincidence.

You deserve that. Don't even try to defend the idiotic statements that you made.

Also please don't lump all Christians in with you and pretend they are all as ignorant as you.

South Korea? this country has evolved to become one of the most technologically and scientifically advanced states of our times, its a step backwards

"Life on earth originated and evolved from a common ancestor approximately 3,7 billion years ago" end of quote.

I rest my case. :0

Why do countries have to remove theories like evolution from books. Present both sides of the coin to students and let them form their own opinions. In the process, you end up making better students!

You must be seriously deluded if you think that guys like that will bother reading, let alone trying to comprehend :)

Depends on the individual examples removed. If, for example, they have removed mentions of archaeopteryx as an ancestor of modern birds (which is one of the things I have read has been excluded) then that is fine. After all that line of thinking has been replaced with that newer fossil the name of which escapes me at the moment and now archaeopteryx is regarded by many as one of the evolutionary offshoots that never went anywhere (of which there are many). (note I could be wrong about the archaeopteryx story I last read about many moons ago and am hardly an expert :p)

If the examples removed are genuine examples of old info then I have no problem with them being removed. Go for it. If they are valid examples and are being excluded because some religious nutjob wants kids to learn about how his magical sex-breasted goddess magicked everything into existence instead then I have a problem with.

Erm I think you failed at math, there is no both sides, try thousands of hypothesis vs one theory. If you wanna know the differences between hypothesis and theory I recon you should go read up on scientific method.

That is what the theory says because that is what the evidence suggests. It explains our observations. It is also falsifiable.

Wait... it explains the observations so far and is falsifiable... OMG IT IS SCIENCE!!!!

I rest MY case.

Now crawl back under your rock where you think the theory of evolution has to do with the beginnings of the universe and life itself like a good ignorant man thanks.

Since we have both stopped arguing I proclaim I won. Seeing that I have proven that your theory claims something namely the common ancestor cmae from nothing.

I win on logic not blindly following ,Ironic considering that it's not a scientific thing this blindely following.

While we on evolution I would like to add an interesting phylogeny I found. Might show off the problem in the argument of explaining "both sides" as people normally claim

So in case of evolution what is the other side you are talking about?

They should be burned at the stake.

We evolved from space dust.

Alf it's mandatory to use smileys or else the evolution lunatics will think you are agreing with them.

Well done, please find your Noddy badge below. Putting your fingers in your ears, and screaming until people ignore you, doesn't constitute a victory BTW ;)
