Ola,
A few months ago I setup a few 'sites for myself, which I've been working hard to get visitors to.
Although the one 'site in particular is now picking up rapidly, the referrer logs are showing loads of dodgy and clearly Spam 'sites.
Likewise, if I search for my domain on Google there are loads of Spam 'sites listing my domain. They scan the web for whatever has decent content I suppose?
Can anyone here perhaps give me a better explanation of this phenomenon, whether it can 'hurt' my 'sites in the search engines and if needs be, how to slow it down?
I do have a robots.txt file and a decent .htaccess
