Maybe because you have had stories filled with straight people all your life. It is seldom we see nice portrayals of gay characters like this in main stream TV.

But ja....also dont feel like debating it. Lets leave it at that.

There was an article a while back about Gay Characters in Main Stream TV, and what impact it has on the Audience.
I will look for the link and post it.
They were talking about programmes like, Glee, Modern Family etc.

Yeah Gloria is a riot, watch the new season you won't be disappointed.
 
Oh man...now I am cross. The guy at our DVD store told me yesterday that they are planning S4 of spartacus when I went there yesterday to see if they have Season 2 and 3 for me seeing that I am missing the other episodes.

Now I read on IMDB that it is not true! :-(

There is no time to wonder if you can relate to anyone, you just are mind blown at the pace of the series and story line just keeps you wanting more and more and more and more. There are gay lovers for most of the series but that should not be reason people watch a series, if it draws the gay crowd because gay scenes are something amazing then sure but it's just gay scenes in a series. Really not something i think people even have time think about. Who cares if the scenes are gay straight and who can relate to what.

Fast paced, mind blowing action scenes, sexual scenes that are also pretty amazing. Leaves you almost breathless and wanting more. Sadly no more :(, heard a 300 series is being spoken about though, no idea if the gay people can relate it to yet :p

killa stop thinking too hard dude. I have never had time to watch series. However, the SO and I have decided to make time. We are currently busy with Stargate SG1, GOT which is almost done and True Blood which is finished bar a few episodes of S4. Tried Legend of the Seeker but that didn't do it for us. Was looking for something new. I am well aware that Spartacus has half naked men in it. I had the series before and deleted it because I never thought I would have time to watch it. So no I don't choose my series by them having gay characters/half naked men in it. Although it is good to see it shown. Consider it a bonus as it were :D

It isn't a bonus anymore, it is the norm now dude. So act like it's normal because it is. As i said i don't understand because i am not gay so let's leave it that :D.

Well there are 4 seasons in total, so maybe he's confused about the sequence. S1, Gods of the Arena (prequel), S2, S3

They can't be planning a 4th though, as far as i am concerned there are 4 seasons. Was the prequel labelled as something other than season 2 mike? Can't recall.

Only spinoffs are planned AFAIK if anything eg. ceasar.

Well SickBeard has it listed under Specials, so it's not part of the 3 main seasons and would be Season 0. But I renamed my folders to keep it consistent with how it was aired, so for me Season 1 is Season 1a, and Gods of the Arena is Season 1b.
