Specific folder freezes up computer

So I have several folders in one of my hard drives, but clicking on one specific one, let's my whole computer freeze. Need to close it in Task Manager, before my computer works again.

Can't right click, copy, cut or anything on the folder. Even one click makes the computer to freeze.

You got .avi's in that folder? There's a cyberlink file that causes this, and also a nero plugin / codec. Can't find the fix at the moment, though I know I had it! Something about disabling .avi previewing rings a bell.

download a program called Ccleaner from www.filehippo.com and give your system a clean , you will find that you have lots of unnecessary files in your temp folder which tends to slow down your system - try it you have nothing to lose and it works and it is for free.

Crazy enough but that 1.5TB died on me... This is regarding a 320G one.

If you have .avi's in there download a codec pack ffdshow (google)

Used to have a problem like that and that fixed it for me

Change view (to Details) of the a higher level folder of the faulty directory, select properties > Customise, check also apply this template to subfolders.
Might work.
