Howzit.

Bedfordview...speeds Up and down. yesterday and day before my speeds seemed to be capped at 1mbit...was downloading consistantly at 100K...for hours....this was a drop from a consistant 150K I was getting begining of last week. I hope They sort out the speeds soon cause now Im lucky if I get 30K :(

Any updates Neotel man...prob not since its weekend hmmmm.

Edit: It should be noted that for a long time before this problem started (Sunday 1 February 5pm) my avg downlink speeds were 1000kbps-1200kbps and uploadlink at roughly 50kbps with latency of roughly 600-800ms.

The solution that was implemented in my area clearly isn't working because my connection has been like this the entire weekend.

My first week of Neotel...

On the Uncapped R1000 bucks a month package.

For 7 bucks a day I can have uncapped Dial up... Currently this is faster than my Neotel connection!


I have been reading threads as far back as September last year.

If Neotel does not sort this out they will end up being know as NeoHell!


Anyway, I'll give it one more week before I cancel this service.
(It would be cheaper to terminate the contract and pay for the device than to pay R1000 a month for inconsistency and horrid speeds.)

Please work out these issues, competition for Hellkom is a matter of National Pride!
 
Words cannot describe how horrifically slow my connection has become. I didn't think it was possible for it to get worse than dial-up. Doing speed tests on speedtest.net takes on average 1:40min - 2min each. Browsing to this site and logging in took almost 6min. What the f**k is going on Neotel. My patience is beginning to wear thin very f**king quickly.

On Saturday/Sunday morning I had 0 bars on my connection. Wouldn't even connect. After rebooting the phone a couple of times I eventually went up to 3 bars again.

Quite sad that I used to have 4 bar signal constantly.

This is in Bellville on the neotel prime uncapped.

Needless to say dl's are suffering :(
 
Somthing must be going on at the towers, my signal went from 62 RSSI to 73 RSSI since Saturday. Kyalami/Vorna Valley
