What's the speed on Gprs via my chellphone on the pc? When I connect it states it's 460kbps, but it took me 13 minutes opening this page.

Is that normal?

LOL 13 minutes is a little abnormal. With GPRS you can expect dialup speeds, GPRS with EDGE you can expect up to 236kbps and 3G you can expect up to 384kbps.

LOL, was disconnected twice after posting.

With dailup you can maybe open a page in about 2-3min, what could the problem be? Is it on my side? My cellphone is setup for GPRS and WAP.

I miss my broadband at home. :( Still waiting this side for Telkom.

Waiting...

Damn slow GPRS

Just from clicking on the post button, to the next page took me 7 mins. I clicked on the vodacom speed test, the page loads by then the is a "blue button" (no writting inside) I click on it then a spedometer comes up. Then nothing happens?

Is my connection so slow I cant even test my speed, tested my speed on openweb.co.za, it was 6kb/s.

Hi,The maximum speed of a GPRS connection up to 64Kbps; is the same as modem connection in an analog wire telephone network, about 32–40 kbit/s (depending on the phone used). Latency is very high; a round-trip ping being typically about 600–700 ms and often reaching one second round trip time. GPRS is typically prioritized lower than speech, and thus the quality of connection varies greatly.

Regards!
