your speed is

10.98 kbits/sec [:(!]

Couldn't believe it, so tested again:

your speed is

16.24 kbits/sec

This is just wrong! What's the use of having ADSL with these speeds?

28.54kbits per sec.

This is around 4% of the speed Telkom sold me.

Ok - there might be congestion somewhere and we are on "contention ratios" of unknown and unacceptable size.

Do I remember correctly that a Mr White claimed that they regularly monitored the international bandwidth and never get results this bad??

South Africa needs World Class Broadband at World Competitive Prices.

Hi Shasta

I think the test remain accurate. I just used it again and it gives me 47.17 kbits/sec. Are you certain of the result…not 7 kbits/sec? I have had speeds as low as that during some peak hours.

wow! never thought I'd post this:

your speed is

536.48 kbits/sec

ps. Ok, this was not from Telkom's ADSL. Currently on a business trip in the USA and managed to connect via the Hotels' REAL Broadband. 10MB Ethernet ;)

You don't know what you don't know.
