Speed Tests?

I've just cleaned my cache and quickly ran the 2 speed tests. My results from http://www.sentech.co.za/speedtest is 7.2 KBps, or 57.57 Kbps and from http://rodent.za.net/speed is 189.80kbps. Why such a big difference?

The machine Sentech is using to serve the speed test is probably too slow or too overloaded to handle the task.

I ran a few tests on Rodents site. Try doing 4 in a row, you will get 4 different answers. I don't think the period is long enough and you get spikes.

I tried to run a contest to see who could get the highest speed on his site. but no takers.

Hmmm, I recently enabled compression on my site. It could very well be interfering with the test on my page.
