Speeds returned?

Has anyone elses speeds gone up dramatically?
When I checked my PC this morning it had downloaded 500MB of a BT download since midnight and was cruising at 11-12kB/s. I almost always have emule or BT active and run DU meter. From my DU meter log, the last time I downloaded over 500MB in a 24 hr period was exactly a month ago 16/05, most days between then and now have been about 30MB with a max of 90. I wonder if being a public holiday here has anything to do with this, although my downloads have been crawling even after hours.
I connect to tower12 Mintek on 128k package.
 
I have to give credit where it is due, And Im very happy at the moment! Speeds are very good!

mmm.. right now with my 256k package speeds are between 50-75% speeds and I'm happy with that :) pages load up fast enough and bandwidth isn't so low that pings time out.

Yep all round.. I'm happy :)

Nope, not for me - my speeds are still at the bottom (close to contention ratio or lower) and now and then it rises to 25% / 30%. This on Mintek tower.
 
Hmmm, i'm only getting about 30% of my connection, but i'm sure this will speed up by tonight

Confirmation, Mintek still stinks....They wanted to close my ticket....No way I say...
 
Mine have always been good ( 24 - 30 Kb/s downloads ), and have even gone about 4Kb/s faster since saturday
256 package

I knew it was too good to be tue. Downloads back to a crawling 1kB/s
 
Yes, down by about 50% - but to about 5.5kB/s here.

I can't agree with the people who say Mintek speed stinks. My download averages at 16kb/s international in the last 3 weeks..
 
My alarm has just gone off, so here I an having a quick smoke at 2.30 in the morning. Mintek has been getting better and better, but ealier tonight it went a bit sluggish again. Seems fine at the moment. Suprisingly, International is a lot faster than local.
 
mintek would do better on scrap-heap!

luckily i can connect to 82 (CDB?) as well, where I get better speed... still not good though :(

This sucks . Where is my 9600 baud modem that will be faster ...!

I'm getting 4.5kB/s
Last week I was in the 12kB/s territory.
