Speeds returned?

I'm getting 500bytes/s. Do you know how long it took to get to this page ?!?!?

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Today marks day 1 of bad service for me, 37Kbps . I was hoping this day would never come.
If I'm not fixed by the morning, its time to log a ticket, and join the masses of unsatisfied customers list!

Although I'm not a Wireless User, I'm beginning to think you guys are suffering from Throughput problems. One only has to read a few of Podo's Posts on the forums and you can see their is a bigger picture to the problem in SA.

Dorris had the same at the start of the week........

I think they wait and are rotating through the client lists so they manage to piss EVERYONE off some time........

The only thing that SENTECH can GAURANTEE.......we gonna give u a shocking connection.....

YEHAAA..... I love the SENTECH WORLD

What happened to all the problems being fixed? Looks like the solution was to try put the browsing/email customers in a "slow" group. Now they just gotta guess who goes in that group.

They definitely didnt buy more bandwidth at all. Well, it hasnt been implemented or a hell of a lot of people suddenly came online or back online.

Things were better than this even up to yesterday. We knew it wasnt gonna last. Time to re-activate the domain name campaign. ie. The sentechsucks page needs a re-design [:)]

I finally got through to the ogres ...

Spoke to SIPHO

He says there is a network failure and most of their network was down and ETA to be resolved is an hour.

Why don't they at least email the users and say there's a problem.

Another lie!!!!....I look forward to Feb 2006 when I can choose from a whole host of broadband suppliers.

A network failure? - This speed issue was already evident on Wednesday.

Aftermath I hate to say this but I think this time Sentech is telling the truth only thing that can really explain why DBN,JHB and PTA are all having issues. Something went pop... in a big way ...

Just checked my netlimiter.......really interesting

I have a 5K restriction on my upload stream (DC++) and guess what it is constantly at 5K

Yet my downloadspeed total fluctuates between 0K and about 4K....

I have just called them - QUOTE: There is no network problem, and there has not been a problem all day..-

Quote: We have not had any speed related complaints this evening-

Interesting..

Kickass72za: What netlimiter you using?

Hi All,

An hour and a bit later as Sipho said so I test again and nothing. Phone helpdesk again and Carlos answers. Eventually he said "we swopped onto a new network tonight but it should be up now ... which tower are you connecting to? ... Oh, let me log a ticket with 2nd level to sort it out for you. I will email you now with the ticket"

Guess what ... no ticket / email from carlos

Netlimiter v1.22

When i use DC++ - the networkstats show download max at about 4K

The upload spikes up to 11.41K which netlimiter seems to flatten out to the 5K

Any Ideas

PS had 64K spikes and then nothing last night

Ptht. My speeds are pretty much the slowest today that they've ever been, web pages are very noticeably slow to load, and getting between 33.9 and 42 kbits/s on Rodent's speed test. Oh, I'm in Pta, tower 22. The only time my connection has been about this slow before is during that first week around March or so when the speed problems first started to appear.

what is interesting is that networks latency has not changed much ... One can only wonder wtf is going one ... Uhm .. and then of course the support desk does not respond ....

Sipho...we were not talking about your LAN (although I wouldn't like to see the shape of that)...

My fave Tower 12 in Mintek must have gone on strike...I am getting a marvelous Stat on MyAdsl speed test:

Your current bandwidth reading is: 5.10kbps which means you can download at 0.64 KB/sec. from our servers.

Anyone has a 9600 modem lying around or maybe a 2400?

Sipho, smile you are on Candid Camera
