Howzit. I tried to post this earlier but it seemed to be deleted in less than two minutes! :confused:

I have pmed the mods to ask why but they have not got back to me, so I shall try again. Mods, if this is not on, then please let me know why at least...

What I want to know is if anyone has had their car sponsored by a company and plastered with adverts?

Today I saw a car drive by completely covered in various company's logos and advertising. I have heard of this being done, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of thing and if you can make any decent kind of money from it?

Feedback always appreciated :)

Pity... my bike would still look sweet with corporate sponsorship on it :p
 
Seems all i can find are links to other countries. Does anyone know anything about this kind of thing in SA?

I don't think it exists, maybe start the company that should help with the UCT bills. Put up a website and approach some companies ?

This seems to be the case which is surprising considering the number of cars that one sees with adverts on them. I guess they are just company cars being driven by employees then...
 
About two years ago I was gonna get an ex company car with logos on it.

They were going to pay me to leave the stickers on the car, I can't remember how much but it was more than enough.

Were you buying it from a regular dealership or did you work for the company in question?
 
There are reps that aproach you with branding for you car and they pay up to R2000 a month for it!!

I remember when the Minis came out a friend of mine had it branded and cut with a redbull can sticking out, they paid him R5000 a month and all he had to do was drive it around!:)

They hover around at the campuses.

Hectic! That would be awesome! Have not seen them at UCT yet but I will ask around...

Have posted an ad on gumtree in the meantime...

Maybeline wanted to brand my back windscreen and pay me R1800 pm!!!
I was tempted!:p
 
hj2k_x it was from the company not a dealership.

Maybe you should call Avis Fleet Services and similar companies and ask them if there are any companies getting rid of branded cars. Just an idea.

Indeed, cos if they pay you that much, then you would be able to pay the car off with the money that they would pay you to keep the ads! This would be awesome!
