Sponsored Cars?

That ad-ridden Ka isn't worth it unless they respray the car at the end of the year. They only pay R500 pm, and only for 12 months. Works out to 6k, which is less than it costs for a good respray job...

I want someone who'll advertise on my bike, dammit! ;) I guess the lack of space makes it unpopular though.

Yeah, i just checked that now :( Otherwise it would have been worth considering, even though the KA is not the best car ...
 
I have emailed some companies asking them about this. This would really be great thing if something comes out of it, and something that other forumites might really consider as a great way pf making a bit of extra cash!
 
Those of you who are students and are interested in branding your car, i found this site www.studentvillage.co.za.

These guys are forever hanging around on campus doing promotions and all sorts. I did not know they did branding as well. Have signed up with them, will let you guys know what transpires :)

They are letting me know as soon as there is a new campaign...

Update- Have still heard nothing from studentvillage and have not found anything similar out there...

Anyone else have any luck?
 
Hell I would let someone pay me R1800 p/month to advertise on the rear windscreen of my car!

MAn, they can respray my whole car for that much!

The thing is, you hear lots of stories about people that have had this done and how great it is, but when it comes to actually finding businesses that do it, it is not easy at all...
 
What concerns me though is what if they skip a payment and you gotta try and get them to pay you again?

Whole car wouldn't work for me
 
You need a car that stands out in the first place - they wouldn't brand a car that every 2nd person has (sorry if you have a Tazz :p). If you have a wicked looking body kit for instance, then drive around campus when you have some free time to get people's attention :D

Thing is, I see all sorts of cars driving around branded all the time. Nothing special- citiglfs, Tazz's, you name it.

They know that if it is students, they can get away with paying them peanuts, which is not cool :(
 
I just signed up too...but i got a bike...
The sound of it is unique enough to attract attention of all :p
Just anything over a grand a month is good enough for me

Well let me know if you ever hear anything from them

As far as I am concerned, if they are going to pay to put the advertising on there and take it off, then they can do what they want to my car for like 500 bucks a month, no worries. Less than that and it would have to be small and something cool, like RedBull or FHM :cool:
 
There's no way that I would fsck my baby up by plastering big, ugly, orange O's all over it for 1-2 grand a month :sick:

A small sticker here and there is fine - but not something ridiculous.

If they are going to take it off at the end of the promotion and the money is right, they can do that as well :)
