Hi Guys

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried this? we having quiet a quiet period and I am gonna give it a bash. Any feed back would be appreciated.

thx in advance

Are you talking about working as AdSense(sites advertising them in return for cash) or as AdWords(paying cash to advertise your link)?
I'm guessing AdWords as you're having a quiet period. I used it when myBB had a giveaway of a R500 voucher or so.
They seem to work faily well if you take the trouble to set up goals on your site. Then you can specify that you want to pay Rx for each goal conversion so at the end of the day you just have to decide what that goal is worth to you.

we have been doing this too lately with a new venture of ours... we have been using AdWords.... but what I cannot seems to figure out... the words that we are paying for, are showing that people are in fact clicking those, but my issue is if I search for any of these words myself, I never ever see any of the adwords being advertised....

any suggesstions??

No not Adsence, This company www.search.za.com called and offered page1 google listing @ R1299 ex vat + once off R300 ex vat setup fee. i have paid them and its monthly with no caontract. It starts in a week for a one month test period. Giving me time to sort out our website. I really hope that it works....

@SQLGuru - You might not be seeing your ads because you have exceeded your daily budget. If you have set your budget per month at say R300 then your daily budget will be limited to R10. It might only take a couple of clicks before your daily budget becomes exhausted and your ad disappears. Instead of setting a monthly budget it might be best to set your own daily budget instead of letting Google calculate it (monthly budget/30 days). I have set a daily budget of R500 - the same amount I'm prepared to spend a month. My average cost per click is about R5 and using this method, I have not once exceeded my R500 limit for the month and my ad always shows. Depending on how popular your ad is, you could find that your funds expire half way through the month. You would need to keep an eye on your stats and maybe increase your budget if you can afford it.

Doesn't look that legit to me... I'm guessing they would do some run of the mill SEO stuff. It also depends on how complex and popular your terms are but if they could guarantee a google.com first page listing for "sex", "porn", "music" or something it would be a bargain. If you need a first page listing for something like "song studio" then it's not that difficult. What happens if they get more than 10 clients that want to be on the first page for the same term?

Spending R1399 a month of AdWords should work quite well. Just read up a bit on SEO, do a sitemap, sign up for webmaster tools, etc and see how it goes. Then maybe go to them and see if they can actually do anything more than that.

Oh and besides the rather bare website the main reason I say it doesn't look legit is the domain name "za.com" is a free subdomain service. ie. They can't afford a .co.za at R50/year or a .com (maybe $6/year)

@Ozy - thanks so much for the advice... will definately take in what you are suggessting, and give it a bash!!

Hmmmm we will see, signed up fo the first month will see if it yeilds results thanks for the input guys.

Hi i just signed up with these guys back in august, its not SEO its managed ppc i signed up with there 6 phrases deal although after talking to one of the technicans they said i should be on there managed package as i wanted more phrases, and now i just pay a 10% management fee for ppc costs which i bad considering they reduced my ppc costs by a good 30-40% from the campaign i was running myself. All in all there not bad, can take a while to get back to my enquiries but there always very helpful.
