Spore has landed...

This game is cool. Its not something your gonna play everyday, especially after finishing the space stage (I still needa complete the missions there though, been in the creators too much). Gonna keep this around on my HDD, like to start it now and then and create a creature or ship or some vehicles. Will see what expansions to this will bring in the future, would be really cool if they could make the civ and tribe stages bit more complicated but that will probably not happen.

Keeper, I'll add you tonight. I was trying to make enterprise, thats why the ship looks like it :)

now I want to go dig out my copy of Sims 2 and install it again.
 
I picked up a copy on tuesday as well. Its really not bad. It has kept me stuck playing non-stop so there is that :)

Just had two crashes so far that really peeved me off. Both were on planets that I couldn't leave. Since you cant save on planets in the space stage. I had to quit and restart, which of course was about an hour since my last save each time :(

I'm a creationist, or rather belief in creation and not evolution, but that site is just like everyone else trying to blame games again for something. If you belief strongly enough in something or was raced properly a game should not influence you. Some kid pokes another with a sword and its music's fault, someone drives over someone else in the taxi he stole and its GTA's fault, someone nukes a cat and he is banned from games cause somehow it had to be coming from playing games. Games are not at fault here, these people where not raced properly or where not right in the head to begin with.

I think it is entirely possible that God created civilizations on other planets. But because Will Wright has brainwashed Frank Drake into thinking that life in the universe gave rise to “super humans” on other planets that are better than us.

OK - I'm officially addicted too now. It's 1AM now just had a taste of the tribal stage - EXCELLENT - I wanted to get there but gotta get some sleep.

When you start understanding what the game is about it's get better and better!

I've found an easter egg in the game, dunno if anyone knows this yet but you can spin the whole galaxy on the main menu. Ok, now spin it fast...really fast, and see what happens....

Ok, one thing that I want to know with regard to downloading other people's content, can you go and access their planets and stuff in real time ? Or can you just download their creations and put it in your game ?

haha,, thats quite a lot of fun to see buddies creatures and vehicles in your game. The poor 'ol "Grom" I made get pwned a lot but he is basically a humanoid without much special abilities.
I actually got 2 (or is that 3) civilizations into space now. That spaceship is just one I made while I was bored since you can use the creators at anytime :) I am actually gonna create a set of creatures inspired from the starting island in Ryzom. so watch out for those :) Will prolly start tonight.

StoneCold, there is nothing real time about the multiplayer. The game grabs the info about creatures, vehicles, and spaceships and populates the planets with them. So if you visit a planet and see some creates there that I made it might not be on the same planet as on my own game for example. Reason I think is because there are surely players that owns 1/4 a galaxy alrleady :P Won;t be long before all space is tkane. So your copy of the galaxy is unique on your saves. Cool thing though is that you can supposedly take over a part of the galaxy with one of the creatures you created and then start a new creature and can eventually meet the other creatures in your own game as your galaxy is shared between your saves. Did not test this myself yet though.
