Noticed the other day that Supersport was streaming in HD :wtf: ...been a while since I've streamed it.

Just use Unotelly to access Star Sports. It's an Indian service with pretty good HD coverage.

I use :http://www.drakulastream.eu for Sky sport on Rugby

You can find streams for each and every Sports event. Just need to look for them.

Generally if you scratch around you'll find what you need - well, I have in the past. But I'd be happy to pay for something that just works. I'm paying for Dstv anyway so :/

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Actually THIS^^

I would also pay a nominal fee to have access to sport just as with Netflix as an example. I will search for something similar. Thanks, actually never thought of that :o

NTV with a sports package works well when it works well. They had some issues a while ago with buffering. But its more than half less the price than DSTV and they show almost everything you want to see on the SKY Sports channels.

For me it came down to ease of use. The ability to channel hop on dstv trumps and sports streaming site.

Pretty much all I want too :o NTV seems like it's going to work. Intend signing up tonight and then seeing if I can watch some Champions League tonight and tomorrow. And if I can do the same with some EPL matches this weekend, then I'll be sorted.

Pretty much why we still have Dstv. Now if NTV works the way I think it's going to then I'm definitely canning Dstv. Everything the missus and kid(s) watch is available elsewhere and I'm the only one at home watching the live football so I won't have any excuses anymore.

Channel hopping a good thing?

That thing people do scrolling past channels till they find something they want to watch that's already half way through so you miss the start of the movie, episode/game?

And it's a good thing?

Ok I've signed up now for the UK Premium account. Watching Sky Sports 1 now via Telkom Mobile so first sign is that I don't necessarily need unotelly (or similar) to stream. Looks like I'll be watching "Live UEFA Champions League" from 20:30 this evening.

...now Watching the Champions League news on Sky Sports 5.

Initial signs: Promising :D

Its a thing, whether its good or bad is up to the user :D

The last I experienced channel hopping I was in hospital. Do you know how irritating it is when you finally find something worth watching and it's already 45min into the movie?

Never again.

Streaming all the way.

It can only get better I see, food for my eyes when monochoice loses yet another customer

I'm busy "channel hopping" on NTV right now :D

If NTV passes my footie streaming test then yes, multichoice will definitely be losing another customer. This having OPTIONS concept is great.

If you have XBMC then there is a plug in to stream it to your tv

Haven't used XBMC in a while so I'll probably just use the browser (on microserver connected to TV). It's how we watch Netflix and Hulu currently (though we use the 'apps' on the PS3).

So far I'm quite impressed. NTV + Netflix = possibly sorted.

Willow.tv is good for cricket. They have a built-in app for the Apple TV and you can subscribe directly on the Apple TV or via their website: $15 a month. I'll subscribe during the World Cup but use SportsDevil the rest of the time.

BBC iPlayer shows some of the F1 races and NowTV on the Apple TV will show the rest via a subscription to SkySports F1. I watch all the ESPN channels on the Apple TV. ESPN broadcasts NASCAR, cricket, tennis, soccer etc as well as the usual baseball, basketball etc. Quality is fantastic, seems like HD quality to me, but they love repeating ads.
