Sprecken zei espanjola???

i get the damn msg as well. and i dont realy have 100MB to download the new VMC, im not really troubled by the msgs, as long as the net works and fast...im fine...but they can get pretty irritating i must say

Sorry, somehow I thought I answered this :o . Normally when ic talks, I jump! :)

Where are these SMS's coming through? In the VMC dash?

If so, it might be an old problem we had a while ago. some of the older modem firmware / VMC software versions had a problem in interpreting non-SMS messages as a SMS. An MMS, for example.

I think it was specifically with Huawei modems.

So, the first step would be to upgrade everything to the latest versions and see if it helps?

How many of you fall into the above?

Who do not?

I got a Huawei modem but dont really care for it ne more... use Netmeter for usage calculations and MTN dash for connection... problem solved. If you dont have an mtn dash just connect using the windows dial-up dash

How do you know it's spam?

My understanding is that it's certain firmware revisions on specific modems that incorrectly interpret incoming messages.

What exactly is meant by specific.... all i know is it is doing this continuously with VMC version 6.0 on both Huawei and Novatel cards. I dont think its the cards, i just think its a bug in this version of the VMC program.

EDIT: or any other version for that matter
