Springbok coach's lame excuses ...

PDV = Harry Viljoen all over gain! Shaait I don't even want to start! It's like burning yourself on a hot stove and immediately putting your other hand on the same hot plate!
 
Jake says he wants to help the Springbok team, but not as their coach (heard this on the radio this morning)

What you guys think of that! :D
 
I know i'm gonna get alot of flack for saying this, and i'm not sticking up for PDV either, but dont you guys think that the reason we are doing poorly is simply because the All Blacks and Australia are just better then us.

I mean the last time we played these two teams was in last years tri nations, we did not do to well there either, and Jake was the coach.

We won the world cup fair and square, but we did not meet the All Blacks and Australia once.

Things might have been different if we did.

I think we are being beaten by better teams and not because we are playing poorly and throwing the games away to them.

This is just my opinion.
 
1. PDV is changing the whole way the boks have been playing rugby.
2. And in doing so, we can't even do the basics right.
3. 10-1 they don't even understand what they are being coached, and i think the coach doesn't even know what he is coaching.

Our solid platform that we had in the world cup needs to remain (um, return)
But we need to learn to take our opportunities, and attack when the time is right. Learning this balance is the key.

What PDV wants is almost right. We do need to play expansive. But without the solid platform it will never come off. If you bliksum them hard, keep the ball like a biltong flavoured beer, and then run wide when they are crying, it will look magical. We will be happy. But, every time we get the ball, throwing it away because we want to see if it bounces towards us is stupid.

Well there is always the chance that they are better than us, but that does not account for the incredible poor shows of the last two games.

There was no structure, no gameplan, no drive. And predictable as hell, get the ball, breakdown, give the ball to the opposition, repeat

The Boks need all the help they can get, so Jake getting involved at any level can only help, not hinder, the improvement of the team.

But I fear all our sports are on a downhill spiral because of political interference in all facets & processes of our sports, ... from development at school level, to talent-spotting, to training, to selection, and to appointment of coaching & senior team support staff, .....

R.I.P. Springboks & Proteas, (Bufooner Buffooner is already long-dead and buried )
 
Reegan was on the radio yesterday and what he was basically saying is that in the past they hadnt really given coaches time to get things right, so with regards PDV - he will be given this time.

I can promise you this, had we faced either of these teams in the world cup we would have beaten, the way the boks played during that world cup was on another level that, at this rate, we might never see again, anyone remember the absolute thrashing we gave to england in the pool stages, I personally rate that as the best game the boks have ever played in their history

Its not just about losing, its about the **** rugby the boks are currently playing. Each week they've been getting worse instead of better and it is actually unacceptable.
 
sheesh, and now to make this weeks Test even more daunting for supporters, they're implementing the 2010 protocols as a test run ........ what more can they do to ensure low attendance, lol.
