The Springboks will return to the FNB Stadium in Soweto for the final home Test of 2012 when they take on newly-crowned world champions New Zealand in the final encounter of the Castle Rugby Championship.

The Springboks also host England in a three-Test series, as well as take on Australia and Argentina in the enlarged southern hemisphere showpiece in a fascinating six-Test home programme. The venues were confirmed by the Executive Council in Cape Town on Thursday.

England arrive in June for what will be the first three-Test tour to South Africa by a single country since New Zealand visited these shores in 1996. The Tests will be played at Mr Price Kings Park in Durban, Coca-Cola Park in Johannesburg and the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The full home Test schedule is as follows:

Castle Incoming Tours
  • Saturday, 9 June: Springboks vs England - Mr Price Kings Park, Durban
  • Saturday, 16 June: Springboks vs England - Coca Cola Park, Johannesburg
  • Saturday, 23 June: Springboks vs England - Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth
The Castle Rugby Championships
  • Saturday, 18 August: Springboks vs Argentina - DHL Newlands, Cape Town
  • Saturday, 29 September: Springboks vs Australia - Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria
  • Saturday, 6 October: Springboks vs New Zealand - FNB Stadium, Soweto

I can not believe that we will be without bok rugby for another seven or so months :(

Offically the KRNRU would have to chose to host 'their' test match at Moses Mabhida. This is what happened with the Saracens match which was supposed to be at Cape Town Stadium, WPRU insisted it must be at Newlands.

These new stadiums are brilliant. FNB is spectacular!! Was there for the last Bok test against NZ. Was an experience of a lifetime!!!

Then there is the Moses Mabhida stadium!!!! Was in Umhlanga recently. You can see the stadium from the promenade. Drove through to Durban to have a closer look and all I can say is WOW!!!! Stunning!!!!!!

Honestly wish rugby would come to the party and start utilizing these gems!!!!!!!

It's a travesty that pre construction deals weren't struck with the rugby unions!!!! Absolute travesty!!!!

Nope :(

But the Babaas are playing the Aussies this saturday :D

Thanks for the heads up. Will record and watch. Hoping for a Baabaas win ;)

Used Moses Mabhida Stadium to park when I watched Sharks v Cheetahs in July. Really convenient. Still have not been inside, but it's my favourite of the newbies.

To be honest I dont think it is a very good stadium to watch rugby, you are too far from the action with the way its shaped and the fact its built to have a running track in it. Although the design does make it easier for viewing the action without craning your neck if its on the other side of the field.
