We were determined to hit them with our forwards even though it wasn't working, with their defence brilliant on the day; and when we did send it wide we actually looked like scoring. Bad match IMO, Heyneke needs to up his game (plan).

80 minutes of my life I'll never get back. What a crap game. Gotta give credit to the English though. They were very solid on defense and they read the bok game like a book. Our predictability will be our undoing and considering the hiding the AB's gave the Irish, if we don't come up with some much needed variation in our game plan the AB's will make us look piss poor in the Rugby Championship.

As some have said, Morne has become a serious liability and needs to be demoted to the bench quickly. IMO Grant needs to be given a start. I don't rate Jantjies much but hell I'd even prefer him at no. 10 right now.

Hougaard also had another below-average game. Perhaps its just me but I don't see him being a specialist scrummy like Fourie du Preez was. The oke is at his most dangerous when he has space to work with so I still think he'll make a much better contribution on the wing.

Agree 100%. I don't know what it is with that continuous pick and go BS. For the love of God spread the ball wide...that's what we have a backline for!

Its just a pity we didn't spread the ball quickly enough and let our wings and backs do some serious running. If the forwards aren't making progress, then we just have nothing. Very scary.

Morne...lol. Sorry but he just doesn't have the decision making ability for a world class flyhalf which the Boks deserve. If he can't be solid kicking, then he must be dropped. I would have really loved to see Jantjies given at least 10 - 20mins of the game, especailly when Morne didn't prove to help at all for the first 60-70mins - which ended up to be 80mins! If you watched the baby boks and that flyhalf. The damn game revolved around him, unbelievable, he was fully in control....I'm so glad we have some real talent coming through the ranks in that department.

IMHO, Olivier was in the back line, so we shouldn't really be surprised by this. I can't recall 100%, as the match excitement level was right up there with watching the process of dew evaporation, so correct me if I'm making this up, but I think here was an instance when Jean made a break and his centre partner was nowhere to be found and the play died (again) right there at the tackle point. Jacques Fourie, on the other hand, had the ability to "read" the play and was (almost) always there when Jean off loaded in the tackle, as this is one of his (Jean) many strenghts. In Olivier's defence - the two centres haven't played together a lot, so this might improve. I am not a Stormers fan, but I would've rather put de Jongh there. He's much more of an attacking player. The stats speak for themselves: Juan de Jongh - 10 caps, 4 tries; Wynand Olivier - 37 caps, 1 try (also keeping in mind that probably many of the caps were earned during the last 5 - 10 min of a game)

We did not have a good game as the kicking was not on par. The kicking game has a place if excecuted right.

Steyn was fine in the first two test wrt ball distrb etc etc. His kicking was an utter failure thought.

The problem was in the group there was no one else that could play at flyhalf for the last test. I am sure that if Lambie was fit he would have started or subbed steyn in the flyhalf position after 30 minutes. And no Jantjies was not an option in the last 30mins as he has no real international experience.

People with a limited understanding of life in general would be the first to boo, is my guess.

1) We miss Alberts (Potgieter really did try his best but was not as effective on the day)
2) We missed Steyn's "good" kicking game.
3) We missed Frans Steyn at inside centre.
4) We lacked the amount of "heart" shown in the second half of the first test and the first half of the second test.
5) The basics was not done as well as in the first tests.

Pienaar is kqk at 10. He also hates it. or do you think he left for overseas just because of the $$$.

He should ahve been Fourie du Preez's succesor until some fcktard in senior management got the bright idea that pienaar, because he has great vision, etc etc, will make a great flyhalf. they tried, he sucked at 10 and lost a good 2 years where he could have become the best scrumhalf in world rugby instead of the 96th best flyhalf in world rugby.

I really dislike wynand (I am extremely happy that he is going to Japan - and yes I am a Bulls supporter), but like with some on this forum there are holy cows... You did not see one compliment for spies after he had a great game last week, neither did anyone aknowledge that Olivier made the most tackles of all the boks last weekend even though he was on for a shorter period of time, etc etc.....

South African coaches of the last 15 years or so have messed up the careers of so many talented players calling them "Utility" or just playing them out of position.

What we need is a game maker and reader (I am not Bulls fan but facts) past game makers and readers of the game:
Naas, Uli, Bobby and Joost - they created play and broker the ranks and could shift a game according to their play. I am a Sharks fan but if we had one of their calibre we would be miles ahead.

Of all the negatives I took out of Saturday, none trumps the EP home ground booing the opposition (at first) and then the Boks (Steyn) later. If that is the kind of conduct they enjoy, I see no merit for the Kings getting anything but the short end of the Super15 stick. Seriously. I refuse to think that all fans from Cape areas are like this but the evidence points in another direction.

As for the game, I cannot name a single player who had anything above a mediocre day out. Picking on one or the other is simply not enough. I read a post above where someone took comfort out of Olivier being average. Average. Is that the best we can expect at this level? Thankfully, he is going to Japan - and as I said before, I hope they teach him how to pass. We really need to up our game, sure, but I see no reason why professionals should bother entertaining a crowd whose manners dictate booing as a means of support.

MickeyD - how bad was this at the stadium? Were people around you booing? When I have seen it, I have asked the low-class rubbish why they do that and find middle ear infections to be the primary cause.
