Spur Incident

the footage shows that her child was grabbed by the male customer in an aggressive manner and his actions are unacceptable.

Does that footage show whose child was causing the trouble in the first place? It probably does. But I guess Spur know better than to go sprouting the truth in South Africa. Especially if an evil white person is involved.

There has to be something seriously wrong with you, so since nobody else wants to say it, I will. You are a racist, and you are hell bent on defending this guy for one reason, and only one, and that is because he is white. Either that, or your name is Nico Viljoen.

One of his classics...

piece of trash, those rings under her eyes make her look like an addict, no wonder she reacted like that.

Note how all his harshest criticism is reserved for the lady. Maybe he is Nico Viljoen...

So the fact that she told him to FO is more then enough reason for him to want to assault her. And then you say you are not saying the idiot is right, but you are still defending him, post after post.

no, that started the aggression. it lead to the arguing and the rest we saw.

:crylaugh::crylaugh:

you are the one mentioning the color of skin.

ever see tick addicts and how they can carry on in public and with direct confrontations? only because i know what they look like after long use and their nature, am I able to draw a similarity between what she looks like and how she acted.

I don't need to point out the guy is a dick(or insert insult / description), everyone can see it by the way he acted. some clowns seem to think this god parent is innocent because of her skin color or sex.

That depends on how you define the victim and the abuser. Woman have the colossal privilege in the fact that they can get away with hitting men in public and not face the huge social repercussions. That affects they way that they deal with men as they know that they can be as abusive as they want to as the man will end up being in the wrong regardless if he does anything.

Since people don't film random people talking pleasantly to each other, we can already assume that one or both parties started escalating things. Automatically assuming it is the guy who did it is as sexist as it is racist assuming she escalated it because she is black.

Everyone and their twitter account is (again) making large assumptions and jumping to even larger conclusions without seeing the full story.

I am not sure of any alternate ways to define a victim and abuser this statement doesn't make any sense to me please explain.

I think if a woman was hitting a man in public people would definitely film that and it would be doing the rounds but that is not the scenario here so I think it is irrelevant to this particular topic.

Please don't misunderstand me I think that they are both at fault he just took it to a different level by getting physical.

#Spur mom: I had to defend myself and the kids

In an interview with The Star on Tuesday, Mabuya said she had to overcome fear and defend herself and the six children with her from a disrespectful and aggressive “bully”.

She was at the restaurant celebrating her god-daughter’s third birthday with five other children on Sunday.

“One of the kids kept coming back from the play area complaining that another child kept slapping and pinching them. I told him to try and avoid the child – when she goes one direction, go the other,” she recalled.

Mabuya said soon after, the aggressive man came to her table complaining about her child beating up his daughter. Despite the man’s “imposing” figure and no intervention from the restaurant, she said she felt she had to stand up and defend herself “whatever the consequences”.

“I was so scared but I told myself what should happen must happen, but I won’t allow myself to be disrespected like that. If he had an issue, he should have approached restaurant management, not approach me. I felt disrespected as a black woman,” she said.

However, Mabuya said she was not proud and “regretted” her use of foul language in the presence of the children.

Speaking to The Star on Tuesday, Spur chief executive Pierre van Tonder defended his staff’s delayed reaction. “I think our staff and management were more in a state of shock and that caused them to be a bit slow in their reaction. We have learnt our lesson and will be training our staff to better deal with such situations.”

He described the man’s behaviour as “bordering on barbarism”.

Only childminders in the play area, he said, were trained to deal with such circumstances but said this would have to change.

Meanwhile, the man featured in the video has been banned from all Spurs countrywide.

The clip sparked a flurry of social media responses. Public outrage sparked a #BoycottSpur hashtag.

Spur on Tuesday issued a statement condemning the incident.

“We do not condone any forms of violence against women or children, irrespective of the circumstances."

"We are shocked at the adults for behaving in the manner they did, especially with so many children around. We have investigated the incident with Texamo Spur staff and management, who expressed that they did in fact try to intervene, but were pushed away numerous times by the angry male customer Staff notified The Glen Shopping Mall security,” read the statement.

She is lying a little in that article. She makes it seem like she is a perfect angel & didn't tell him to **** off a million times.

I do however think she is 1 of the few women to stand up to him and that is when the **** hit the ceiling.

I hope this dudes gf has a job cos he won't be employable after this.

Funny because I thought he looked like he has roid rage to me.

It would be the correct approach but it is possible that the circles he mingles in could share his sentiment and applaud his behaviour or be too afraid to stand up to him.

Why are the hot ones always crazy.

He could so get it from me but he is too crazy.

"I felt disrespected as a black woman,”

Aag jisses foeitog.

you could be correct, in my experience(not used myself) roids cause much more and irrational aggression than what we saw most of the time. had a friend I used to make go ballistic and laughed at him.

juice junkies tend to go completely off pop. I suppose it also depends what stage in their cycle they are.

yea this guy could be a juice head, didnt strike me at first though.

Crazy sex could be good for your soul though.. but only as a one-night stand. Nobody needs that level of crazy in their life.

I alluded to that a few times, gets ignored every time.
