What? just acknowledging Sunday Times for giving this award to a well deserving candidate, otherwise if I don't there'll be the usual comments " where is so and so now", "you'll never see them in this thread".....

Your answer in fact backs my stance, that emotions will take over and things will get out of control. You guys have been defending the opposite LOL! Saying that the woman at Spur was also wrong by reacting, yet the guy took it there. Same as the ass grabber would have been guilty in the scenario I raised.

But what did I get from most? Responses saying that a response should be measured and not emotional even in the extreme scenario I put forward. Your lack of understanding what I was doing did at the very least give us one honest answer. Which I find hilarious.

Legal action will traumatise my child

Nico Viljoen should thank his lucky stars after the woman he allegedly verbally assaulted at Spur at The Glen Shopping Centre last Sunday rejected offers from law firms to take legal action against him on her behalf.

The incident, which sparked a public outcry, has emotionally drained Lebohang Mabuya.

She told City Press that lawyers wanted to help her pursue charges against Viljoen, but she felt exhausted and didn’t wish to subject her child to more trauma in the form of a court procedure.

Mabuya said she wasn’t planning to take legal action against Viljoen.

City Press has also established that Viljoen may have assaulted Mabuya over a “fight” between their children, which seemingly never even took place.

CCTV footage from the play area at Spur at The Glen, which City Press has seen, shows the two girls playing with each other.

In the footage, Mabuya’s daughter is seen walking down the stairs towards the play area followed by Viljoen’s daughter. The pair moves around the play area and at some point can’t be seen by the camera.

Mabuya’s daughter then emerges and walks out of the play area with Viljoen’s daughter close behind, but she doesn’t exit the room.

Mabuya’s daughter returns and the two girls continue playing, again moving out of camera view. They emerge again and exit the play area with neither looking distressed. No child minder appears to be present.

This week Mabuya said she wasn’t certain what happened in the play area. She said her daughter told her that a girl had pinched her in the play area. “I told her to move to a different side and not pay attention to that girl. She came back again,

saying the girl didn’t want them playing with anything in the area and was bothering them. “I told her to sit down, but after a while she went back. She returned again saying the girl had slapped her and she had hit her back,” Mabuya said. Mabuya

said she doesn’t know what the truth was. “In fact, I don’t want to know because I am tired of this whole thing,” she said.

Okay let's say your highly unlikely account is true. He has no right to tell her to do anything with regards to her god child. Yes I said it, no right whatsoever. If he wants his child to not run at the risk of interacting with kids that they may get into fights with, he should not let his child play in a public area. Simple as that. I'd wager to say that this man with his violent tendencies is more likely to have a violent child in this scenario, but that's just me speculating and I won't state that as fact, as you've just gone and stated that he was calm and civil as fact though you have no evidence to back up this claim.

It is everyone's right to raise their kids as they see fit and to discipline them as they see fit. This lie that this guy civilly approached her is just another sign of your bias and lack of willingness to view the incident objectively.

So now people can walk up to others and DEMAND they "discipline" THEIR kids as they see fit or he'll violently grab their kid's arm and then go on to physically threaten the parent and child? Hahahahahaha!!! Wow this thread has been such an eye opener to the inner workings and thoughts of the blatantly bias.

Looking at this post it is evident why the country is in the dire straits it is in. Kids are taught from young to have no responsibility or accountability.

Lol and you say there is no bias? A grown man assaulted a table full of kids and a woman and the only problem you see is a black kid who wasn't disciplined? Ahaha hahahahahaha! You guys are hilarious! No problem with the guy right? He was at his full rights to do what he did right? Clearly you view him as having far more rights and privileges... I wonder why that is?
 
You are really being obtuse now. You keep dismissing the fact that we acknowledge everything bad about the dude, but refuse to see any fault in her actions. That by definition is called White Knighting and it's pathetic really. Woman are not objects that need to be defended by you.
 
You know what. If that was my wife I would worship the ground she walks on and would have a scorched earth policy to anyone that gets in her way. Why? My children, my blood and she stood up to that bully

His actions were inexcusable, I can see what lead to it.

However her reaction on him first approaching her were also inexcusable. My beef with you is that you think she acted OK. Fine example she is setting her kids. Jacob Zuma material. You can do what you want with no consequences.

Well we have no evidence that this man approached her civilly and that's the problem I have with your comments. Despite his pathetic and violent behaviour you give him the benefit of the doubt? Why? I say bias and you can't even deny it because there's jack shhh evidence that he approached her civilly, yet this is the narrative you stick to? Why is this narrative based on no evidence conveniently painting her as the unreasonable banshee who just went off at him after he was oh so reasonable.

Convenient that this self constructed narrative gives him the benefit of the doubt in the face of evidence showing the contrary.

Amen to that, he was taught a lesson on that day. That his bullying wouldn't go unopposed and that's why he got so violent in his reactions. Tiny minded buffoon that he is.
