Looking at this thread and following the arguments its very clear that this issue is devided by race mostly. If it were two white family's people would not have blown up the incident the way it currently is.

Says the people trying to make everything about race. The poor oppressed black woman. She really showed that big white bully nicely asking her to control her kid! Big award for her and women's rights! Woot woot!

It's not an assumption but from eye witness accounts as has been stated here numerous times. The reason she's probably declining a legal case as they'll rip her to shreds in a court for being just as guilty at egging him on.

If the child was indeed 3 years old, then he's a moron. However, there are so many conflicting stories about her children's ages. And fyi, if your three year old kept complaining that some kid was hurting her, you get off your ass and go and check out what's happening instead of continuing to socialise.

Let's say she was "egging him on", not true from the hard evidence though as all I saw was someone defending themselves and her child, but okay let's say your unlikely, self created narrative is true. No matter how much you are "egged on" if you get violent the way he did, you are still as guilty of assault. You think a judge will say "oh you assaulted this person, BUT they totally egged you on so... not guilty!"

Hahahahahaha god it's so easy dismantling you buffoons. You have no grasp or understanding of the law. You don't even have a tiny bit of common sense crawling around in your empty skull which would allow you to draw a reasonable conclusion from thinking things through.

And that "eyewitness account" you keep referring to happens to be a friend of his. Now should we believe the hard, video evidence or his bud? In your silly little bias world I'm sure the latter right?

Exactly this! You don't threaten and even go as far as attacking someone who's egging you on. Be a ****ing adult and control yourself.

He dug his own hole by reacting the way he did. If he kept his cool and asked for the CCTV footage that shows her child hitting his, then he would have had a foot to stand on and not lose all respect.

He was moron with a fragile big man attitude.

The debate at hand is not whether this was an incident based on racism. The issue is that many on this forum will not assign blame to a man who clearly was in the wrong. From fabricating false narratives of him being oh so polite and civil when initially approaching this woman (based on an account from his friend and totally contrary to the hard, video evidence available) to placing the blame on the woman for "egging him on" even in the light of clear evidence that he grabbed her god child in a violent manner, threatened to hit her by way of physical and verbal intimidation and caused a table full of kids to start crying when he lifted their table.

The issue here is the lack of assigning blame and accountability to this man and deflecting with every poor excuse in the book, all based on bias.

There is no evidence that this was a race based attack and I never insinuated this, heck most people advocating that the man is a violent imbecile are not. The only people who keep bringing up race ironically are the people defending this man. Which leads to other questions as to where their bias is entrenched.

Wrong! And this is where you can't see further than the little world you've created in your mind. If both parties were white then the case would be the exact same. For you though, I suspect your opinion would greatly shift in favour of the assaulted child and woman in this case, had they been white. This is just my opinion though, based on the utter stupidity of your baseless defenses of this menace of a man.

As a woman I can only see a man with very clear anger issues confronting a seated woman who can't get up and defend herself because she is trapped by the kids . He is VERY aggressive from the start in the way he approaches and leans over and uses his finger to make his point. He sounds reasonable at first but its the calm reason of the angry man who is faking it, evidenced by how fast the wheels fall off and his real anger and levels of aggression come out. If I am right about him then there is nothing she could have said or done that would have averted the anger. Any response would have escalated it. ANY! Because that is how it is with angry, abusive men. The fact she is Black may have had some impact on his thinking, but it is the fact that she is a woman that "empowered" him to go over and even begin the confrontation.

The question to ask is not 'would he have behaved the same if she was White' (the answer is yes btw) but would he have behaved the same if it was a man with kids? And if the answer to that is 'no' then the issue is her femaleness not her blackness.
