Hey guys,

I'm trying to find a decent deal on a SSD for my macbook pro but I can only find SSD's that size for R2100+

Anyone have any ideas where to find one a bit cheaper?

Just found out I'm getting a pretty damn big bonus at work. This is mighty tempting, even though I don't have a SATA 3 board yet.

Get it, all the sata 3 will do is give you higher read write, the seek time will be the same so the SSD will destroy a mechanical drive.

Exactly my thinking. Doubt they'll be able to source stock now anyway, since most of the suppliers are probably closed or closing soon, until the new year. Will wait until the company pays us during the next couple of days, just so that I don't just impulse-buy without doing my research. SSDs are pretty scary to me. I haven't been keeping abreast of the latest developments, but from what I've read, if you get the wrong one it ends up being a big pain in the ass, with huge unreliability and whatnot.

yeah as killa said, will work fine on sata 2 board, and one of the best upgrade for your pc :)

You most deff want to get a well know brand for SSD, trust me and don't get any smaller than 120gig I kinda wish I spent more and got a 256. OCZ are cool but can give some problems, good though. SSD are like sex you don't know how awesome it is until you try it.

I bought 2 crucial m4's from USA... haven't got around to installing the 2nd one... its still sealed in its packaging.... pm me if interested...

Hi guys

I am also looking for a 120gb ssd. Is R1500 for the Kingston worth it. I have seen some terrible reviews on amazon and not to sure about them. Any thoughts. Not OCZ though, reliability issues.

Thanks
