My MWeb uncapped is running at 0,6 MB/sec as of now. It's pathetic. It's a new month, so any throttling should have stopped.

I am using Cybersmart Capped and getting garbage speed. WTF! I am seriously annoyed!

My setup is weird. I'm on a 4mbit line with a 512k mweb subscription (upgrading the subscription today...got the line yesterday).
Started today getting 150kbps on http...which is weird as I'm on the 512k subscription...so its 3x too fast for 512k but less than half the speed of for 4mbit. Then I turned on uTorrent to test something...and was getting about 400-450kbps on a torrent. So I thought...cool they've automatically upgraded my subscription to 4mbit...weird that I'm getting faster speeds on a torrent than a direct download though. 5 minutes later I lose connection to the internet, then it comes back on...and I'm back on 512k but am getting speed test readings from Saix of only 20kbps.

Something is screwy!

Yup, reset router and phoned ISP to do line re-sync and still slow. Using Cybersmart

Check your processes (Right-Click on the menu bar -> Task Manager) and check under processes if "stdtr.exe" is there or running. I've got a feeling that it's a dormant virus/malware that started up on 1 May. Once I ended the processes my speed on mweb and web africa is much better... going to test WoW now

Nothing like that there. My speed was great from 4 Am this morning to I think 9 AM. The thing is I am on Capped and it is so slow! Even my PSN is lagging

Well, rebooted this morning. Went to a few places, got back and ta da... working well again.

Afrihost uncapped - 873mb since 7 this morning. 384k a/c

My 4meg MWEB line is very slowww today, around 105kbps instead of 430kbps. Rapidshare is faster than Hotfile today!

Pre-Seacom problems it was going well, +-400kb/s on torrents at night, 100-200kb/s in the day and websites always loaded fast.

Now it's hellishly slow, torrents will not crawl past 30kb/s, sites take a lot longer than normal to load.

I thought the Seacom issues were fixed? Hardly feels any different... And its the weekend?

Feels like the throttling has been increased a ****LOAD. Tried redialing.
Going straight to Mweb next month.

Speed and Latency are worlds apart. You can have a 100Mbps connection but if you have bad latency it will be worse than dial-up.

Likewise, I am having the same crappy problem 4Mbps. // Sorry for double-post, too peeved off to EDIT.
