St James massacre cadre faces murder charge

Do you're a pacifist? I thought you were for the war in Iraq/Afghanistan?

I have no problem with a declared war where military trained personnel engage other military targets.

But I have every problem in the world with "terrorists" dressed in civilian garb killing innocent people in acts of terror to achieve their goal of "peace" for their people.

That was the ANC's legacy... killing innocent people in a bombing campaign to achieve their freedoms.

That is why I have always said that they have blood on their hands.

Um, I never said they didn't... in fact... I said "that was the good part"

Your words were "they should have" ... that implies that they did not. Just an unfortunate choice of words on your part.

Sure, closure is one thing... I think that was great for a lot of the victims and perpetrators.

but they must also take responsibility for the other messages and impressions that the commission gave the general public.

A human who kills another innocent human to attain some "higher goal" (as ludicrous as that sounds) must take responsibility for ALL of the consequences of that action.

But personally I believe it is NEVER right to intentionally kill another human in the pursuit of democratic goals.

Nothing we can do to get back the past or to change it.

I also think IT IS WRONG to intentionally kill another human being in order to keep alive an oppressive regime. Think apartheid. There were TWO groups of sinners here.

You cannot blame a committee for the weaknessses and evil deeds of humans.

Aaaaah. The collective. The Khmer Rouge used that excuse to great effect. Successful prosecutions were only in the low double figures. And they slaughtered millions.

Re-read my post !

YOU CANNOT BLAME A COMMITTEE - THE TRC - FOR THE EVIL DEEDS OF HUMANS.

Just shows you the moral fiber of these 'freedom fighters'.

I think thats the biggest problem.

Being oppressed doesn't make you a terrorist, being a lunatic does though.

The problem was that the freedom fighters had to side with these people. The same thing with the army... the biggest psycho's make the best soldiers.

Your ‘general’ rule = “You cannot blame a committee for the weaknesses and evil deeds of humans”.

A collective is a committee and I CAN blame them for the weaknesses and evil deeds of humans (and did).

My ‘general’ rule = Responsibility and accountability for scumbag actions should not be allowed to disappear into the haze of a collective

The Khmer Rouge were a blot on humanity. The ‘collectives’ that the NSA is advocating, is similar.

You're still not understanding !

The committee, i.e. group of people I referred to is the TRC.

How in heck can you blame the TRC for what apartheid bastards and the ANC did ???????????????????????????????

All I have to say is... Animals.. they deserve death themselves

And before the "bandwagon" comes around... not blacks.. er.. just all who attack innocent people

I'm with you Garyvdh

Hmm... once a bloodthirsty murderer... always a bloodthirsty murderer!

They should have executed these killers the first time around.

How many of those pardoned went on to commit more crimes, I really would love to see the stats. Same goes for some of those that killed Amy Biehl, pardoned, her family even helped then and then they go and commit more crime. Forgiveness and compassion is seen as weakness in Afrika and something to take advantage of.

Totally agree

with presidents help nogal... from Mandela.. to ... Zuma

No, you promulgated a general rule - “You cannot blame a committee for the weaknesses and evil deeds of humans” – and applied it to the TRC.

I am disagreeing with the general rule BEFORE it’s applied to the TRC and used to excuse barbaric acts (apartheid and ANC).
