Eskom has announced it will implement stage 1 load-shedding from early next week.

The utility initially planned to resume stage 2 load-shedding at 05:00 on Monday, 26 December 2022, after suspending the rotational outages for most of Christmas Day.

This stage 1 is probably just going to be the next week or so due to most industry being closed for annual leaves, when the new year start, we will probably be back at stage 3 or something... so I guess we should enjoy it while it lasts.
That's assuming we don't have more breakdowns next week

The government did it. I'm so used to getting my power cut from 18:00-20:00 or 20:00-22:00 that it feels really abnormal to be able to finish a movie without having to turn off the PC halfway.
